This role is for a senior SAP Quality Management consultant based in London, supporting enterprise consulting work within a global delivery environment. The position sits at principal consultant level and focuses on leading SAP QM workstreams, shaping solution direction, and helping clients implement and improve quality processes in SAP S/4HANA. What you will do

  • Take ownership of consulting engagements from the earliest stages of business process analysis and problem definition through to solution design, build, deployment, and rollout.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor in architecture and design discussions, helping steer the solution and validate design choices.
  • Guide delivery teams on implementation approach, project processes, and expected outputs.
  • Support business pursuit activity, client training, and the development of internal capability and reusable consulting assets.
  • Shape consulting solutions that help clients respond to changing business and operational needs.
  • Lead the full design, configuration, and rollout of SAP S/4HANA QM processes, including inspection planning, results recording, usage decisions, and quality notifications.
  • Configure and improve key QM transactions such as QA11, QA12, QA32, and QA33, including selection logic, ALV presentation, and table-control behavior.
  • Oversee global template objects for QM, ensuring consistency in areas such as quality score procedures, usage decision rules, follow-up actions, inventory postings, and code groups.
  • Maintain naming conventions and rollout standards for template objects across global deployments.
  • Design batch-related quality processes, including quality batch status handling, expired batch management, and stock-type alignment using enhancements and background jobs.
  • Define WRICEF needs and produce functional specifications for QM enhancements such as batch automation, inspection-lot controls, and job-based notifications.
  • Improve data quality by identifying inconsistencies, defining validation rules, and enabling controlled correction or deletion processes where appropriate.
  • Define reporting requirements for QM, including traceability and chain-of-custody reporting with timestamps, user information, and movement data.
  • Specify Fiori app requirements and help ensure the resulting solutions are practical, efficient, and easy to use.
  • Work with security teams to resolve authorization issues and make sure access is aligned to business roles.
  • Ensure the solution aligns with global template standards and integrates properly with MM, PP, and SD.

What the role requires

  • Strong SAP experience with deep functional expertise in SAP QM; S/4HANA experience is preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of inspection processing, batch management, quality notifications, and QM reporting.
  • Proven delivery experience across end-to-end QM implementations and global rollout programs.
  • Experience working within global template governance and standardization models.
  • Ability to define WRICEF objects and write clear functional specifications.
  • Practical experience leading SAP S/4HANA QM design, configuration, and deployment work.
  • Ability to configure and optimize QM transactions including QA11, QA12, QA32, and QA33.
  • Experience managing global QM template content such as quality score procedures, usage decisions, follow-up actions, inventory postings, and code groups.
  • Knowledge of batch-related quality processes, including quality batch status, expired batches, and stock-type alignment.
  • Ability to define requirements for QM developments such as batch automation, inspection-lot controls, and job notifications.
  • Experience improving data quality through validation logic and controlled correction or deletion mechanisms.
  • Ability to define and validate QM reporting needs, including event-based reporting and traceability data.
  • Experience specifying Fiori app requirements with attention to usability, performance, and adoption.
  • Ability to collaborate with security specialists on role-based access and authorization issues.
  • Understanding of integration with MM, PP, and SD.
  • Background in life sciences or pharmaceutical work is preferred.
  • High-level awareness of SAP S/4 EWM and its roadmap is preferred.
  • Prior experience in pharmaceutical environments is preferred.
  • Multilingual ability is welcomed, although English is mandatory.
  • Experience in regulated industries such as pharma or life sciences is preferred.
  • Exposure to LIMS or other external quality systems is preferred.
  • Familiarity with SAP Fiori applications and UX design principles is preferred.
  • Knowledge of audit, compliance, and data governance frameworks is preferred.
  • Strong documentation capability, including business blueprint documents, functional design documents, SOPs, and training materials.
  • Analytical thinking and a structured approach to problem solving, including defect and issue management.
  • Consultative and presales-oriented thinking, including client advisory, value positioning, and roadmap definition.
  • Familiarity with delivery tools such as Solution Manager, JIRA/ALM, and ChaRM.
  • Ability to work effectively in matrixed, globally distributed delivery models.
  • Strong personal qualities including initiative, flexibility, customer orientation, quality focus, and excellent communication skills.
