BlackRock is offering a six-month off-cycle internship opportunity for students in the students and graduates population, based in one of its Continental European offices. The programme is designed to give you practical experience in asset management while allowing you to contribute directly to a specific team, take ownership of set objectives, and experience the firmâs culture and way of working first-hand.
What the internship involves
- You will join a particular team and support its day-to-day work over the course of the six-month placement.
- Your role will involve contributing value to the team by helping deliver agreed objectives and completing assigned tasks.
- You will gain exposure to BlackRockâs culture and ethos while building a clearer understanding of how a global investment manager operates.
- The internship is intended to help you develop new skills and obtain useful experience within the asset management industry.
- At the end of the internship, you may choose to explore BlackRockâs Full-Time Analyst Programme as a next step.
Who the programme is for
- This opportunity is aimed at candidates who are currently in the penultimate year of their studies.
- Applicants should be on track to complete an undergraduate or masterâs degree between July 2027 and 2028.
- The programme is part of BlackRockâs Students and Graduates hiring pathway.
Application rules and process
- Each candidate may apply to only one internship programme in the relevant cycle, either the Off-Cycle Internship Programme or the Summer Internship Programme.
- Within that single programme application, you may select up to two functions, such as Investment Research and Analytics & Modeling.
- Both function choices must be submitted through the same programme application.
- If you choose to withdraw your application, you will not be able to submit another application for this programme in the same year.
- After submitting your application, you will receive an email inviting you to complete a pre-interview assessment.
- You have five days from receipt of that email to finish the assessment; if you do not complete it in time, your application will be automatically withdrawn.
- Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, so BlackRock encourages early applications.
- The application deadline is 30 September 2026 for Paris and Zurich, and 13 November 2026 for Frankfurt and Munich.
Location and working pattern
- The posting lists London, England as the primary location, with additional locations available in Frankfurt, Munich, Paris, and Zurich.
- The role is tied to BlackRockâs Continental European offices, indicating an office-based internship rather than a remote arrangement.
Pay, equal opportunity, and support
- BlackRock notes that salary ranges for applicable business areas and locations are available in the EMEA 2027 Internship Salary Ranges document under the EU Pay Transparency Directive.
- The firm says it is an equal opportunities employer and that it treats and hires employees fairly.
- BlackRock also states that it does not discriminate in hiring or employment on protected characteristics and that it provides reasonable accommodations or job modifications for individuals with disabilities.
- If you need an accommodation or adjustment during the hiring process, you should email [email protected].
