This opportunity is for a senior software engineer with strong .NET experience to join a well-established engineering and technology business that creates advanced systems for testing and validating complex electrical equipment. The companyâs products are used in highly regulated sectors where performance, safety, and reliability matter, and the business is supported by a larger publicly listed parent organisation, giving the role long-term stability alongside a collaborative, close-knit engineering culture.
The position sits within a team building software that works closely with specialist hardware. You will help maintain established desktop applications while also contributing to the development of newer service-based platforms as the organisation continues its technology transformation. The role is suited to someone who wants genuine input into design and architecture, along with a clear path for progression.
What you will do
- Develop, support, and improve applications using C# and .NET.
- Work across both desktop software and modern service-based systems.
- Take part in architectural discussions and help shape system design.
- Partner with multidisciplinary engineering colleagues to deliver integrated solutions.
- Assist with the modernisation of legacy platforms while keeping existing systems reliable.
- Review code and contribute to ongoing engineering improvements.
- Build software that interfaces with specialist hardware and supports real-world testing and validation use cases.
- Use your experience to influence technical direction and help the team make sound implementation choices.
