  • Develop unit tests and integration tests, and follow established mobile architecture principles to maintain strong software quality.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to junior engineers both within the immediate team and across the wider organisation.
  • Partner with colleagues from other functions to deliver new products and features, while keeping work aligned with project priorities and deadlines.

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 8 years of professional software development experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience testing software and taking products through launch.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on iOS application development experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in software design and architecture.
  • Demonstrated ability to own outcomes, make decisions, solve ambiguous problems, and influence stakeholders, backed by strong expertise in the relevant domain.
  • Preferred: a master’s degree or PhD in engineering, computer science, or another related technical field.
  • Preferred: 8 years of experience working with data structures and algorithms.
  • Preferred: 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role, including leading project teams and setting technical direction.
  • Preferred: 3 years of experience working in a complex matrixed organisation on cross-functional or cross-business initiatives.
  • Preferred: knowledge of AI systems and tools, including experience using AI tools to improve personal productivity.
  • Ability to work in English, which Google says is required for all roles unless the posting explicitly says otherwise.
