The position requires someone who can communicate clearly and persuasively across a matrixed organization, acting as a trusted advisor and helping executive audiences understand REWS priorities, mission, and plans.

Another important aspect of the job is hospitality strategy. The successful candidate will help move operations toward a unified “one team” model, with cross-trained professionals and smooth handoffs between vendors. You would also act as the campus-wide owner of workplace storytelling, making sure the narrative and experience are consistent across London locations and that strategic ideas are translated into design and operational requirements. In practice, this means serving as a connector between the business, REWS, and GDM, helping align intent, delivery, and user experience.

What you will do

  • Represent workplace services to end users by working directly with Googlers to understand what they need and then shaping the right response, while also helping internal and external stakeholders reach agreement when priorities conflict.
  • Act as a trusted partner to key stakeholders, improving the employee experience and communicating REWS strategy and objectives to senior leaders in a way that is timely, relevant, detailed, and tailored to the audience.
  • Lead the rollout of the hospitality approach across the London campus, including a move to a single-team operating model with cross-trained staff and seamless vendor handovers.
  • Serve as the campus-wide steward for workplace consistency, ensuring that all London sites reflect the same story and that strategic concepts are converted into concrete design and operational standards.
  • Work as the creative intermediary between the business, REWS, and GDM to align workplace design, service delivery, and operational execution.
  • Own operations, identify improvement opportunities, prioritize critical infrastructure work, and help implement global workplace standards.
  • Design, implement, and manage workplace service offerings that can operate effectively at scale.
  • Lead projects with multiple stakeholders and improve the efficiency and impact of workplace operations by delivering innovative solutions.
  • Manage buildings, projects, or property portfolios successfully, including budget responsibility and end-to-end program delivery.
  • Keep the workplace environment healthy, productive, and inspiring for employees and guests.

What the role requires

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Relevant industry certifications such as BIFM or IFMA.
  • Approximately 15 years of combined experience in facilities management and service delivery, especially in facilities, hospitality, corporate services, property management, or a similar office-management setting.
  • Experience in the built environment, property, or hotel sectors.
  • Strong project management capability, including budget management and delivery of programs from start to finish.
  • Experience making decisions and driving outcomes in ambiguous situations, along with the ability to influence stakeholders effectively.
  • Deep expertise in the relevant domain.
  • An advanced degree in a related area, such as an MBA or Real Estate, is desirable.
  • Experience developing and activating high-profile public spaces or initiatives, plus a strong understanding of London’s cultural and community landscape, is desirable.
  • Additional experience across the built environment or property sector is desirable.
  • Change management experience and the ability to lead and support organizational change is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, including the ability to present a compelling vision to different audiences.
  • The ability to turn strategic direction into practical operational parameters.
  • An investigative mindset and a strong commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • English fluency, as Google states that English proficiency is required for all roles unless the posting says otherwise.
