This role sits within Google’s Health Platforms and Devices organization and focuses on growing adoption of Fitbit subscription offerings. The position is centered on building features and capabilities that improve the full user journey, from first app onboarding through discovery of the product’s core value and continued engagement over time. The work combines product strategy, growth experimentation, and cross-functional execution to help more users discover, understand, and stay active with Fitbit subscriptions.

The broader team develops products and services intended to help people live longer and healthier lives. It brings together Google technology, artificial intelligence, health behavior science, and user-centered design to create tools that help users organize wellness data, gain insights, and take action toward their health goals. The organization works across apps, services, and wearable devices with the aim of making consumer health more personal, proactive, and actionable.

What you will do

  • Set a clear growth objective for subscription adoption and define how success will be measured.
  • Build, own, and evolve a roadmap for growth and engagement initiatives, including onboarding improvements, feature discovery, monetization or business-generation work, experimentation programs, and analytics capabilities.
  • Identify new opportunities to expand reach and improve retention, then validate and prioritize those opportunities, including potential new business models and new channels.
  • Partner with engineering, UX, research, marketing, and data science to deliver roadmap commitments on time and at a high standard of quality.
  • Lead a product management team and help shape a collaborative, innovative, and high-performing culture.
  • Coach, mentor, and support team members through development planning and performance management.

What the role requires

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 10 years working in product management or a similar technical function.
  • At least 5 years of experience taking technical products from idea stage through launch.
  • At least 5 years of people management experience, with technical leadership responsibilities.
  • Experience with consumer mobile apps, subscription-based offerings, and growth across multiple channels.
  • Demonstrated ability to own outcomes, make decisions in uncertain situations, and influence stakeholders.
  • Strong expertise in the relevant product or business domain.

Preferred background and strengths

  • Knowledge of accessibility best practices, along with curiosity about bringing accessibility into product development methods.
  • Ability to think at a strategic level while also executing in a structured and methodical way.
  • Strong instinct for user experience and a track record of building products that are easy and intuitive to use.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills.
