This role sits within Google Cloud and focuses on acting as a senior technical and business advisor for major global systems integrator partners across EMEA. The position combines enterprise architecture leadership, partner strategy, and executive-level influence. In practice, you would serve as the Google Cloud CTO counterpart for one or more priority GSIs, helping shape long-term technical direction, align business and technology priorities, and drive execution of joint plans with Google Cloud and partner teams.
The team supports organizations that are using Google Cloud to modernize and grow, with products designed for security, reliability, and scale across infrastructure, applications, devices, and hardware. The wider mission is to help customers transform digitally and to enable businesses, public sector organizations, and other institutions to solve complex problems using cloud technology.
What you would do
- Build and sustain a trusted advisory relationship with key GSIs in EMEA, working directly with their CTOs, lead architects, and practice leaders to win and expand multi-year commitments with Google Cloud.
- Act as a senior voice for Google Cloud by sharing expertise in public cloud and enterprise technology with partners, including speaking at industry events and contributing content or thought leadership online.
- Advise on how partner solutions should be integrated, including the enterprise architecture, platforms, and application infrastructure needed to deliver complete solutions for large and complex GSI agreements.
- Own the broader enterprise architecture relationship with GSI partners by collaborating with Google Cloud Platform customer engineers, principal architects, product managers, and technical specialists to create large, reusable enterprise assets.
- Serve as the technical decision-maker for the most strategic Gemini Enterprise AI funding opportunities.
- Work closely with the EMEA Partner Development Manager for the relevant GSIs to explain the full technical and commercial value of proposed solutions and to support high-impact engagements across EMEA sub-regions and countries.
- Lead conversations at the principal level, combining technical judgment and business understanding to guide the joint business plan for priority partners.
- Travel to customer sites, conferences, and other related events as needed, with travel averaging roughly 50% of the time.
What the role requires
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, another related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 10 years of experience working as an enterprise architect or in a similar customer-facing technical capacity.
- Experience with cloud market analysis and with cloud computing across areas such as applications, infrastructure, storage, platforms, or data.
- Experience presenting to technical stakeholders and executive leaders, and the confidence to influence both groups effectively.
- Practical knowledge of modern AI methods, generative AI, and data technologies, including the ability to evaluate technical solutions.
- Strong ownership mindset, comfort with ambiguity, sound decision-making, and the ability to influence others while bringing deep subject-matter expertise.
- Experience using structured enterprise architecture practices, working in hybrid cloud environments, and planning migrations from on-premises systems to cloud deployments.
- Vertical or industry-specific technology knowledge, along with the ability to learn new technologies, methods, and solutions quickly in the cloud and IT space.
- The ability to deliver results while working across teams to shape and coordinate solutions that combine multiple products.
- The ability to influence audiences, identify opportunities to expand within accounts, and grow partner engagements.
- The ability to influence GSI stakeholders, identify expansion opportunities in partner accounts, and help move major GSI-led agreements forward without partner-delivery escalations.
- English proficiency, since Google says English is required for all roles unless the posting explicitly says otherwise.
