In this role, you will work closely with customers and multiple AWS teams to shape industry-focused programs that can be repeated and scaled across similar organizations. What you will do

  • Work with customers to identify how generative AI and machine learning can improve their business or operational performance.
  • Bring together customer technologists and business leaders so they can explore opportunities, define a roadmap, and turn ideas into value.
  • Discuss complex business and industry topics with executives, managers, and technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with AWS applied scientists, solutions architects, business development, marketing, industry specialists, partners, regional teams, and professional services delivery teams.
  • Lead major sales opportunities from early ideation and vision development through scoping, closing, and delivery handoff.
  • Help customers design and run proof-of-concept projects on AWS, then support the transition from experimentation to production deployment.
  • Explain AWS’s value proposition and take part in detailed business discussions so solutions are built around the right success metrics.
  • Run workshops with customers to uncover opportunities and define how generative AI or machine learning can create business value.
  • Document and share best practices for organizations building broader generative AI or machine learning capabilities, including customer centers of excellence.
  • Write or contribute to customer-facing content such as white papers.
  • Develop trusted relationships with senior customer leaders so they can champion advanced technology adoption.
  • Encourage collaboration across AWS teams and act as a bridge between customers, services, technologists, and support functions.
  • Contribute to high-level business conversations and help turn them into actionable plans.

About the team

The Generative AI Innovation Center is a program that connects customers with AWS science and strategy specialists who have deep experience in AI/ML and generative AI. The team helps organizations imagine new applications, identify use cases based on business value, integrate generative AI into existing applications and workflows, and plan for secure scaling.

Customers using this program can get help identifying realistic use cases aligned to business priorities, estimating value, assessing feasibility and blockers, and defining a clear route to success using best practices. The team also provides hands-on support for solution development, production scaling, and knowledge sharing with stakeholders.

What you need

  • A bachelor’s degree, or equivalent professional or military experience.
  • Experience as a technical specialist in design and architecture.
  • Experience with databases and big data technologies such as SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, or Kinesis.
  • Experience consulting on and implementing serverless distributed solutions.
  • Experience with cloud-based solutions such as AWS or similar platforms, including systems, networking, and operating systems.
  • Experience managing complex, large-scale projects in customer-facing environments.
  • A relevant degree in business administration, finance, economics, computer science, data science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience in consulting, design, and implementation of serverless distributed solutions.
  • Experience with object-oriented programming languages such as Java, C/C++, or Python.
  • Experience integrating AWS cloud services with on-premises technologies such as Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, HP, or SAP.
  • Experience with automation or monitoring frameworks and with deployment or development work.
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery.
  • Experience implementing cloud technology solutions, or experience in related areas such as Linux or Windows administration, network administration including DNS, IPsec, BGP, VPN, and load balancing, or programming in languages such as Node.js, Java, Ruby, C#, Python, or PHP.
  • A degree in advanced technology, or equivalent experience in customer-facing, complex, large-scale project management.
  • Strong communication skills across all levels of an organization.
  • Excellent organization and the ability to manage many competing demands from internal and external stakeholders and customers.
  • Experience working with global or enterprise sales and delivery teams to increase adoption of AI/ML solutions in major accounts.
  • Passion and experience in designing innovative AI/ML solutions that use natural language processing, computer vision, and statistical learning theory.
  • Ability to explain complex ideas clearly to audiences with different levels of technical or functional knowledge, including strong presentation skills for both large and small groups.
  • Strategic thinking skills for business, product, and technical problems, including the ability to build baseline and data modeling processes and identify cause-and-effect relationships.
