The focus of the position is to shape and deliver PR activity that supports major shopping occasions and retail launches, while also helping communicate the value customers receive when they shop with Amazon.
The successful candidate will bring strong experience running consumer-facing communications campaigns for large, fast-moving organisations in the UK. The role calls for someone who has worked across earned media, social media, and influencer relations, and who understands the UK media environment in depth. The role also requires close collaboration with internal teams and with external partners such as journalists, influencers, creators, and agencies. Candidates should be comfortable in a fast-paced, start-up-like culture and should have substantial experience from either an agency background, an in-house role, or both.

- Prepare campaign plans, key messages, and materials intended for media audiences.
- Develop strong relationships with priority media contacts and use those relationships to secure strong coverage at top-tier outlets.
- Advise internal leaders on communications risks, opportunities, and appropriate PR responses.
- Work with agencies and international colleagues to create and deliver PR plans.
- Partner with teams across the business to complete projects on schedule.
- Respond to fast-moving and complex PR situations involving both the business and the media.
- Support issue management work related to the UK retail business.
- Coordinate with outside stakeholders including media, influencers, creators, and agency partners.
- Act as a key contributor within the UK communications team and support the wider consumer communications agenda.

- Strong knowledge of the UK media and social media landscape.
- Evidence of delivering consumer campaigns for large organisations operating in a fast-moving environment.
- Experience with earned media, social media, and influencer relations work.
- Excellent writing skills and the ability to produce clear, persuasive communications materials.
- Ability to work well with colleagues, agencies, and external partners.
- Comfort working in a dynamic, high-speed environment.
- Substantial experience gained in agency and/or in-house communications roles.
- A strategic approach that aligns PR activity with business objectives.
- A proactive mindset and the ability to move work forward without losing quality.
- Leadership capability to direct agency partners and demonstrate the value of PR to senior stakeholders.
- Flexibility and good judgment when priorities shift or media issues arise.
- The confidence to advise executives on how to respond to communications challenges and media inquiries.
