Strategic Partner Development Lead, RCS for Business GTM English or French Overview

Company Name Google
Job Role Strategic Partner Development Lead, RCS for Business GTM English or French
Qualifications Bachelor’s
Category General Jobs
Job Type Full Time
Location London

This role sits within Google’s Global Partnerships organization and focuses on accelerating the commercialization of Rich Communication Services (RCS) for Business in a local market. The position is centered on helping businesses and consumers interact through a richer, more conversational, AI-native, and verified messaging experience across Android and iOS. The successful candidate will work at the intersection of partnerships, product strategy, and go-to-market execution to help establish RCS for Business as a leading high-engagement channel for enterprise communication.

The role is based in either London or Paris, and applicants can express a preferred location from those two options. It is a mid-level position for someone who can make meaningful progress independently, solve complex problems, and support the development of less experienced colleagues while bringing strong expertise in the relevant domain.

What you will do

  • Develop localized go-to-market plans, partner enablement materials, and practical toolkits that help scale RCS Business Messaging in the market, including vertical-specific examples and use cases for sectors such as retail, banking, and travel.
  • Work with partners to bring major enterprise brands onto RCS, helping them launch, expand, and improve their messaging programs through coordinated commercialization efforts.
  • Manage relationships with the existing partner ecosystem, supporting partners as they scale, improving campaign outcomes, and removing commercial or technical obstacles that slow adoption or performance.
  • Monitor campaign quality and partner execution, ensuring that RCS deployments meet the standards needed for sustainable growth.
  • Identify opportunities for new partnerships when business needs change or when additional ecosystem support is required.
  • Bring partner feedback back into Google and collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Partner Engineering teams so that market needs help shape the global RCS roadmap.
  • Negotiate and complete strategic agreements with local ecosystem participants, including AI-native agent builders, communication service providers, CRM and CDP vendors, marketing technology companies, CPaaS providers, messaging aggregators, and other relevant industry stakeholders.
  • Act as the market-facing expert on RCS for Business, representing Google at telecom industry forums, digital marketing events, and executive-level meetings or pitches.
  • Help drive rapid market adoption by coordinating with partners and internal teams to expand awareness, usage, and commercial success of RCS Business Messaging.

What Google is looking for

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least seven years of experience in business development, partnerships, account management, or product commercialization.
  • Hands-on experience in the mobile messaging ecosystem, such as CPaaS, SMS aggregators, carriers, business messaging APIs, or customer engagement platforms.
  • Strong communication ability in English; French fluency is required if the selected location is Paris, while French is not required for London-based candidates.
  • A track record of structuring, negotiating, and closing commercial agreements or technical partnership frameworks with senior executives.
  • Knowledge of the local digital advertising, marketing, and enterprise SaaS landscape in the target market.
  • Ability to work effectively in an emerging product category where ambiguity is common and technical features must be translated into clear business value.
  • An analytical mindset with the ability to create data-driven business cases and evaluate partner ROI.
  • Strong collaboration skills and experience aligning stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Legal, and GTM teams in multiple regions.
  • Experience level appropriate for a mid-level role, with the ability to drive progress, solve problems, and mentor more junior team members.
