Job Role Risk Compliance Manager, Amazon Business Payments Lending
Qualifications Bachelor’s
Category IT Jobs
Job Type Full Time
Location London

The Amazon Business B2B Payments and Lending organization is hiring a Risk Compliance Manager to help build and expand quality control programs for underwriting decisions tied to the Pay-By-Invoice product across several marketplaces. The role sits within a team that supports invoicing, working capital, and payment acceptance solutions for Amazon Business customers, sellers, and other small business customers. It is designed for someone who can help establish strong quality and risk practices as the business scales its payment offerings internationally, while also contributing to operational excellence and customer trust.

This position offers the chance to create quality frameworks from the beginning, shape how risk controls are designed and improved, and have a direct influence on the decisions that affect Amazon’s business customers. The work combines program management, risk control design, hands-on analysis, and cross-functional partnership.

What you will do

  • Design, launch, and continuously improve quality control programs that operate across multiple regions and payment solutions, with particular attention to underwriting decisions for Pay-By-Invoice.
  • Set up the measures, monitoring processes, and feedback mechanisms needed to understand whether the quality program is working effectively and where it needs to be strengthened.
  • Develop risk control structures that follow SOP quality standards, identify deviations or nonconformities, manage remediation efforts, and introduce preventive actions that reduce operational risk.
  • Partner with credit, product, and engineering teams to review credit decisions, surface useful insights, and turn those insights into practical improvements in products and processes.
  • Build productive relationships across the business so you can drive alignment and influence outcomes without relying on formal authority.
  • Carry out quality audits yourself, document findings carefully, and convert those findings into clear actions that can be implemented by the business.
  • Create reports and dashboards that communicate performance clearly and explain the trends and root causes behind the numbers.
  • Own day-to-day risk review work, monitor the status of remediation activities, and ensure data quality through structured audit activity.
  • Lead continuous improvement work that increases both the efficiency and the effectiveness of the risk and quality operation.
  • Help shape the operating model and quality approach for a business area that is scaling globally.

About the team

The team supports Amazon Business customers by providing invoicing, working capital, and payment acceptance solutions. It is part of Amazon’s global Consumer Payments organization, whose goal is to create payment experiences and financial services that customers trust, value, and can use easily from anywhere and in many different ways. The team is focused on helping small businesses grow and on scaling programs across the wider organization.

What we are looking for

  • A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk, loss prevention, or a similar discipline.
  • At least five years of program management experience building quality control programs that can scale.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and Excel.
  • Experience creating test frameworks or test tools, or leading QA projects and related initiatives.
  • Knowledge of credit risk concepts such as underwriting, the lending lifecycle, and risk assessment, or the ability and willingness to learn these areas quickly.
  • Experience with QA automation or with building tools used to monitor risk and controls.
  • Familiarity with commercial credit, lending operations, or B2B payments.
  • Strong analytical ability, careful attention to detail, and the ability to write up findings accurately and precisely.
  • Comfort working across teams, managing stakeholders, and driving progress in a collaborative environment.
