This is a broad, hands-on go-to-market role for someone who wants to help build and scale a fast-growing AI company serving legal and intellectual property teams. The position is internally described as Product & Partnerships Counsel, but in practice it is a full-stack account executive role that combines outbound sales, relationship building, product demonstrations, deal closing, and direct input into product development. The company is aiming to grow rapidly and is looking for an energetic early GTM hire who can help expand revenue, shape the sales motion, and contribute to the company’s long-term growth.

What you will do

  • Help create the company’s sales and growth strategy from the ground up, with the goal of supporting very large-scale revenue growth.
  • Build new business by prospecting through email, LinkedIn, and phone outreach, and by developing a strong outbound playbook.
  • Use your own network and industry relationships to generate meetings, secure warm introductions, and open doors with key decision makers in the intellectual property world.
  • Represent the company at conferences and events across the world, where you will showcase the product and build relationships with industry leaders.
  • Run live demos for prospects and explain how the platform can improve their workflows and transform how they work.
  • Move opportunities through the sales process by following up, negotiating terms, and closing business.
  • Partner with the technical IP team to ensure customers are onboarded successfully after the sale.
  • Bring customer feedback, market reactions, and feature requests back to the team so the product can be improved based on real-world needs.
  • Work closely with AI researchers, software engineers, and patent attorneys to influence the product roadmap and help decide what should be built next.

Who you will work with

You will join a team that includes the company’s co-founders and senior leaders, along with AI researchers, software engineers, patent attorneys, and other go-to-market specialists. The leadership team has strong academic and industry backgrounds across physics, AI research, computer science, and technology, and the wider team is described as highly talented and ambitious.

What the company is looking for

  • Strong prior success as an Account Executive or sales professional in a SaaS company with a demanding, high-performance culture.
  • Very clear communication skills, both in writing and in conversation.
  • A metrics-driven approach, high energy, and a willingness to work hard with the team to achieve ambitious goals.
  • Experience selling complex SaaS products to mid-market or enterprise customers, especially in a technical or specialized vertical.
  • A STEM degree is preferred, such as in mathematics, computer science, engineering, chemistry, biology, physics, or a similar subject.
  • Helpful experience includes patent prosecution, particularly in the US, or a legal background.
  • Helpful experience also includes being a qualified USPTO or EPO patent attorney or agent, with US qualification preferred.
  • An existing network in the intellectual property space, including in-house or outside counsel contacts, would be valuable.
  • Entrepreneurial experience, such as side projects, hustles, early-stage startup work, or unusual hobbies, is considered a plus.
  • Experience using AI products is also a plus.
  • The ideal person is highly motivated, comfortable moving quickly, willing to put in long hours when needed, and committed to taking ownership and exceeding expectations.
