This role is a senior leadership position focused on guiding major technology transformation programs for enterprise clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping strategy, leading delivery, managing senior stakeholders, and ensuring that complex programs produce measurable business value. The position sits within technology program management and is based in London, United Kingdom.

What you will do

  • Take overall ownership of large, complex, multi-year technology transformation programs that span several business units and client organizations.
  • Act as the client’s primary senior contact, building a trusted relationship with executive stakeholders and maintaining a long-term advisory presence.
  • Lead executive steering committees, workshops, and business review sessions to keep the program aligned with business priorities and digital strategy.
  • Communicate risks, issues, and progress to senior leaders in a proactive and transparent way, offering clear recommendations and options when problems arise.
  • Serve as the link between delivery teams and client executives, explaining technical work in terms of business outcomes, return on investment, and strategic impact.
  • Own the program from early presales and discovery through roadmap definition, execution, delivery, and post-implementation benefits tracking.
  • Coordinate multiple connected projects and workstreams, including areas such as cloud migration, enterprise applications, and AI or generative AI.
  • Make sure all deliverables, milestones, and scope commitments are met in line with the agreed statement of work, and manage any changes through formal control processes.
  • Help develop and refine business strategies that increase consulting and services revenue and support account growth over time.
  • Keep up with industry trends and proven practices, introducing new ideas and approaches that improve competitiveness and delivery quality.
  • Focus on transformation outcomes rather than delivery alone, ensuring the program changes the client’s processes, technology environment, and operating capability in a meaningful way.
  • Oversee program financial performance, including budget, revenue, and profitability, and use commercial insight to support sound decisions.
  • Negotiate scope, budget, and contractual matters while balancing client needs with commercial objectives.
  • Spot and pursue additional opportunities for growth within the client account and contribute to wider revenue generation.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a geographically distributed team made up of program managers, project managers, business analysts, and architects.
  • Set up strong governance, communication, and quality assurance practices so teams remain accountable for delivering measurable results.
  • Promote a collaborative, innovative, client-centered culture with a strong commitment to continuous improvement.

What you need

  • A bachelor’s degree is required; an MBA or master’s degree in a related discipline is strongly preferred.
  • Professional credentials such as PgMP or PMP are beneficial.
  • At least 20 years of progressive IT program management experience, including a minimum of 5 years with a leading IT services provider.
  • Demonstrated success delivering large-scale, transformational IT programs for external enterprise clients over multiple years.
  • Strong knowledge of digital transformation, enterprise architecture, cloud platforms, data analytics, and Agile/DevOps delivery methods.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and executive storytelling skills, with a history of working effectively with C-level audiences.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and inspire change across complex delivery environments.
  • A strategic business perspective, including the ability to understand a client’s industry and operating model and align technology delivery to business goals.
  • Working knowledge of at least one industry domain and/or technology stack.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict-resolution capability for managing competing priorities and challenging client relationships.
  • Ability to support revenue growth within the current account and across consulting and services opportunities.
  • Preferred knowledge of how to design and implement AI solutions.
  • Preferred familiarity with core concepts of the Site Reliability Engineering approach to IT operations.
  • Personal strengths should include strong analytical thinking, initiative, flexibility, customer orientation, attention to quality, and excellent verbal and written communication.
