This role sits within Google Cloud’s Enterprise Services organization, which focuses on deploying highly advanced accelerated computing systems for large organizations. The team helps enterprises design and implement very large-scale infrastructure across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments. In this position, you would help connect specialized hardware with enterprise software and contribute to the evolution of large distributed computing for major customers.

As an Integration Engineer, you would work directly with Google’s most strategic customers on infrastructure programs that have a meaningful business impact. The role combines consulting, program management, and technical delivery. You would collaborate with customer executives and technical decision-makers to deploy solutions on Google Cloud Platform, and you would also partner with Google’s ecosystem of external partners to deliver joint consulting services and share technical guidance and infrastructure best practices.

What you would do

  • Work alongside customer technical leads, executive stakeholders, and partners to plan and deliver successful cloud implementations, building trusted-advisor relationships throughout the engagement.
  • Create solution designs and oversee the rollout of cloud-based distributed and virtualized infrastructure, making sure the approach fits complex customer requirements and follows strong implementation practices.
  • Partner with internal specialists, product teams, and engineering teams to convert project experience into reusable guidance, best practices, methodologies, and published content.
  • Coordinate with sales teams, partners, and customer technical stakeholders to manage project scope, priorities, deliverables, risks, issues, and timelines so that customer outcomes are achieved successfully.
  • Travel to customer sites and facilities for roughly 30% of the role.
  • Provide consulting and technical leadership on customer engagements that involve deploying infrastructure solutions on Google Cloud Platform.
  • Work with Google partners to deliver joint consulting services and offer technical direction on infrastructure best practices.

What you need

  • A bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least six years of experience in technical solution delivery and project management.
  • At least three years of experience with AI/ML infrastructure, such as GPUs, GKE, EKS, Kubernetes, or Kubeflow.
  • Experience writing production-grade Python code.
  • Experience working with Bash.
  • Experience at a mid-level scope, including the ability to make progress, solve problems, and mentor more junior colleagues.
  • Preferred: a master’s degree or doctorate in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • Preferred: experience developing and tuning AI/ML models using frameworks such as JAX, PyTorch, or OpenXLA.
  • Preferred: experience in one or more of DevOps, security, or site reliability engineering.
  • Preferred: experience in one or more of data center infrastructure, networking, compute, or storage.
  • Preferred: customer-facing migration experience that includes discovery, assessment, planning, execution, and operations.
  • English fluency is required for all roles unless the posting says otherwise.
  • Candidates may choose between London, UK and Paris, France as the preferred working location.

Compensation and other details

The posting lists France compensation at €106,000 to €109,000 annually, along with a 15% bonus target, equity, and benefits. Google notes that equity awards are granted at Alphabet’s discretion and are subject to approval and the terms of the relevant stock plan and grant agreement.
