The work combines consultative selling, market development, cross-functional collaboration, and customer partnership, with a strong emphasis on ethical AI deployment.
What you will do
- Build new enterprise revenue in the manufacturing sector by introducing Anthropicâs products to target organisations and converting opportunities into closed business.
- Own the complete sales journey, beginning with outbound prospecting and continuing through qualification, solution shaping, negotiation, and final close.
- Work through complex manufacturing organisations to identify the right decision-makers, educate them on the offering, and help them move confidently toward adoption.
- Design sales approaches that fit manufacturing procurement timelines, budget cycles, and internal approval processes, while consistently working toward or beyond quota.
- Study the manufacturing landscape, including market shifts, customer trends, and competitive dynamics, and turn that insight into targeted outreach and account strategies.
- Find and develop new opportunities in production, engineering, and operations functions, expanding the range of use cases for Anthropicâs technology.
- Partner with go-to-market, product, and marketing teams to sharpen positioning, messaging, and the overall value proposition for manufacturing buyers.
- Navigate multi-layered stakeholder groups that may include executives, administrators, IT leaders, and procurement teams, building consensus across the buying committee.
- Gather customer feedback and market intelligence and feed that information back into product planning so the roadmap better reflects manufacturing needs.
- Continuously improve the sales process by updating playbooks, templates, and best practices based on what is learned in the field.
- Identify and implement process improvements that make the sales motion more efficient, repeatable, and productive.
What the company is looking for
- Eight or more years of B2B sales experience, ideally in SaaS, API products, or other emerging technology categories.
- A strong record of managing complicated sales cycles in manufacturing environments and closing strategic deals by balancing technical requirements with real-world manufacturing use cases.
- Experience working through manufacturing organisational structures and procurement processes while building alignment among diverse stakeholders.
- Significant experience negotiating complex commercial terms within manufacturing procurement frameworks and policies.
- Evidence of repeatedly exceeding revenue targets through strong pipeline management and effective sales execution.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to speak credibly to plant managers, engineers, and senior executives alike.
- Deep understanding of manufacturing buying behaviour, decision-making patterns, and the operational pain points that influence purchasing decisions.
- A strategic, analytical way of thinking combined with the creativity and tactical discipline needed to win opportunities.
- Interest in, or hands-on experience with, advanced AI systems and their practical application in manufacturing settings.
- A clear commitment to ensuring frontier AI is developed and used safely and ethically.
- A bachelorâs degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Relevant subject knowledge gained through formal study, training, coursework, or professional experience.
- The level of experience expected will depend on the internal level assigned to the role.
- Willingness to work in a hybrid pattern, with at least a quarter of working time spent in the office and potentially more depending on the role.
- Ability to complete the application process with either a resume/CV or a LinkedIn profile, since at least one of those is required.
- Comfort with the application questions covering start timing, timeline constraints, AI usage policy acknowledgement, visa sponsorship needs, relocation, and work location details.

Working arrangement and application details
The role is based in London, UK, and follows a hybrid office policy. Staff are expected to spend at least 25% of their time in one of the companyâs offices, and some positions may require a greater in-office presence. The application asks candidates whether they are open to working in person at this level, whether they need visa sponsorship now or in the future, whether they are willing to relocate, when they could start, whether there are any timing constraints, and where they plan to work from. Applicants are also asked to confirm understanding of the companyâs AI partnership guidelines and to provide a resume or LinkedIn profile, along with any additional information or a cover letter if desired.
Anthropic also notes that recruiters use only @anthropic.com email addresses, that vetted agencies will identify themselves clearly if involved, and that legitimate recruiters will never request money, fees, or banking details before the first day. If there is any doubt about a message, applicants are directed to check the careers site directly rather than clicking links in an email.
