What the role looks like day to day
On each shift, you would be leading a team and making sure the equipment they rely on is available and functioning properly. A major part of the job is checking that maintenance processes are followed correctly and that preventive work is completed to improve uptime. You would also be expected to spot opportunities to make systems more productive and efficient, then help roll those improvements out across a broader European operation. The role includes working with monitoring tools such as SCADA and supporting your manager with administrative tasks.

Amazon also notes that this area of the business offers strong development opportunities, including the chance to move into more senior roles over time.

Much of the work is aimed at reducing downtime in Amazonâs critical operations so customers receive their orders on time.
Amazon says the team often works early or late hours, including night shifts, to complete maintenance with as little disruption as possible. It also highlights that if a better way of doing something is identified, the team has the capability and opportunity to develop and introduce new processes and advanced technologies such as Amazon Robotics and the Complex Item Sorter.
