This role sits within Infosys’ consulting and banking-technology environment and is focused on pre-sales architecture for core banking products. The position is based in London and is aligned to the Lead Consultant level. It is intended for someone who can combine deep banking-technology knowledge with strong client engagement skills to help shape and win opportunities, particularly around Finacle and related core banking solutions.

What the role involves

  • Leading pre-sales technology consulting activity that supports stronger sales outcomes through close partnership with sales, delivery, and product teams.
  • Taking responsibility for solution discovery and solution mapping during RFP and RFI work, as well as throughout client pursuit cycles.
  • Developing value propositions that fit the Finacle sales approach, the client’s business objectives, and the relevant technology requirements.
  • Applying a customer-first mindset to ensure the proposed solution reflects the client’s strategy, priorities, needs, and expectations.
  • Serving as the main solution and architecture advisor to senior IT stakeholders who influence buying decisions, while complementing sales engagement with decision makers.
  • Participating actively in pursuit activities with internal teams and prospective clients to explain, validate, and refine the proposed architecture, and continuing to support clients and delivery teams after the sale where needed.

  • Working alongside sales on the technology elements of pursuit documents, including client context, solution overview, and competitive positioning.
  • Helping influence product strategy and roadmap decisions so they align with the timing of the opportunity.
  • Acting as the link between sales, presales, product, and delivery teams until deal closure to keep the solution aligned and optimal.
  • Keeping senior management and other stakeholders updated on pursuit-specific matters from a solution architecture perspective.
  • Identifying and engaging alliance partners, or spotting products and services that are needed but not currently offered, such as new product features or alternative deployment models, based on regional requirements.
  • Creating strong solution documentation, business case support, correct product version and release mapping, partner or fintech solution identification, and interface readiness planning.
  • Building industry relationships that can be converted into prospects and partners for Finacle.
  • Staying current on market developments and industry trends, and contributing to regional research and development centres.
  • Reporting progress on pursuits, engagements, KPIs, and goals on a regular basis through structured plans and reports so that progress and contribution are visible to stakeholders.
  • Designing and leading effective client workshops.
  • Contributing to internal and external publications and supporting regional analyst engagement.
  • Taking part in region-specific or global industry events and forums.
  • Travelling occasionally for short work-related trips within the region and across regions.
  • Acting as a trusted internal source of knowledge on industry trends, market direction, technology developments, competitive landscape, enterprise architecture best practice, digital transformation approaches, innovative solution design, and partner ecosystems.

What the employer is looking for

  • Hands-on experience performing this kind of role across multiple banks and/or banking technology vendor organisations.
  • A strong technical foundation with broad understanding of banking, composable banking architectures, enterprise systems, microservices, and cloud technologies, together with sufficient depth in the relevant domain areas.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work directly with clients, influence senior banking leaders, and build trusted relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to present complex architectural ideas clearly through compelling presentations and storytelling.
  • Strong interpersonal capability and the ability to work effectively with both local and offshore teams.
  • Good knowledge of banking industry ecosystems and the forums that support them.
  • Preferred background in large multinational banks, startup banks, or comparable roles involving leading core banking products or platforms.
  • Ideally, an established network within banking and financial services.
  • Strong analytical thinking.
  • Initiative and flexibility.
  • A high level of customer focus.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Personal attributes are treated as important alongside professional qualifications.
