This role is for a senior SAP technology architect with a strong focus on ABAP and EWM in an S/4HANA setting, based in London. The position sits within Infosysâ delivery organization and is aimed at someone who can combine deep technical capability with architecture, design, and hands-on development support across the software delivery lifecycle.
What you will do
- Work closely with key stakeholders and apply technical expertise throughout the software development lifecycle, from gathering requirements through to architecture definition and solution design.
- Produce strong design documentation and other architecture outputs that support delivery quality.
- Evaluate whether proposed solutions are technically workable and identify efficient approaches to meeting client needs.
- Operate as part of a team and collaborate with both offshore and onshore colleagues.
- Contribute to a culture that values learning, collaboration, high standards, and respect for diversity.
- Support SAP EWM development and configuration work, including RF processes, monitoring, label printing, and enhancement implementation.
- Build and maintain interfaces, handle monitoring and error resolution, and work with SAP AIF-related processes.
- Use Fiori customization knowledge to support application changes where needed.
- Investigate and resolve performance and technical issues using ABAP analysis and trace tools, dump analysis, and related troubleshooting methods.
- Take part in development, implementation, and testing for custom reports, enhancements, dialog programs, scripts, and custom objects.
Technical skills and experience needed
- Strong practical experience with SAP S/4HANA EWM, including familiarity with the newest releases.
- Good understanding of warehouse management processes.
- Experience with EWM RF customizing and development.
- Ability to configure, develop, and support interfaces, including monitoring and error handling.
- Experience using the EWM Monitor and working extensively with PPF.
- Experience with label printing and EWM enhancements.
- Hands-on use of Eclipse and ADLC tools.
- Strong ABAP on S/4HANA experience, including workflows, AMDP, CDS, BOPF, and BRF+.
- Knowledge of REST, SOAP, and OData services.
- Experience with SAP AIF, in-app extensibility, and Adobe forms.
- Broad ABAP/4 development experience covering ALV, interactive and classical reports, OSS note implementation, Smart Forms, Menu Painter, user exits, BAdIs, RFC, dialog programming, and Data Dictionary work.
- Experience across ABAP planning, design, development, implementation, and testing for scripts, custom reports, user enhancements, dialog programming, and custom objects such as Z-tables and match codes.
- Ability to support Fiori app customization.
- Strong troubleshooting and optimization skills using SE30, ST05, and ST22 for runtime analysis, SQL tracing, dump analysis, performance tuning, problem resolution, and capacity planning.
Preferred background
- Experience in the life sciences sector is preferred.
- Prior work in the pharmaceutical industry is also preferred.
- High-level technical awareness of SAP S/4 EWM and its roadmap would be an advantage.
- Multilingual capability is welcome, although English is required.
