Job Role Sr. EU Site Process Engineer, EU CF PE
Qualifications Not Specified
Category IT Jobs
Job Type Full Time
Location Rest of UK

This senior process engineering role sits within the EU Process Engineering function and is based onsite in a non-shift rotation arrangement. It is designed for someone who is comfortable working in a highly ambiguous environment, where the challenge or the strategy may not be fully defined at the outset. The position calls for strong judgment, the ability to set the right objectives, and the confidence to guide decisions, manage expectations, and build durable solutions that can scale across the network.

The role also offers broad exposure to EU-level strategic work. In addition to improving local site performance, the successful candidate will have opportunities to lead initiatives that span multiple buildings and regions, support network-wide deployment work, and help develop the capability of others through coaching and mentoring.

What you will do

  • Drive continuous-improvement work by comparing the site’s results with network benchmarks and identifying where performance can be raised.
  • Lead weekly performance discussions with site leadership and act as the building’s cost-focused champion for process improvement.
  • Perform detailed investigations into operational issues, then translate the findings into clear action plans and present them to senior leaders.
  • Use AI-enabled tools and advanced analytics to uncover deeper operational insight and reduce the amount of manual analysis required from operations teams.
  • Join daily operational reviews and Gemba walks with fulfillment center leadership to identify waste and work with operations teams to remove it.
  • Coach and develop SMEs and SSMEs in Lean thinking and operational excellence practices.
  • Independently lead improvement events and transformation work, including Kaizens and Kaikaku.
  • Review local ideas, determine which ones should be scaled, and implement proven best practices across the EU network.
  • Own the rollout of EU network initiatives assigned to the fulfillment center and ensure delivery stays aligned to the agreed timeline.
  • Support pilots and tests that the site has committed to, helping avoid delays in broader EU deployment.
  • Lead EU projects that require coordination across several sites.
  • Build effective working relationships with the Site Leader and the Senior Management Team.
  • Support the site management operations team during Q4, depending on the needs of the building.
  • Work through complex, unclear problems by defining goals, shaping the approach, and helping establish long-term solutions.
  • Influence stakeholders across functions, locations, and seniority levels to align them around a common direction.
  • Link operational choices to business performance and customer impact while managing programs that span multiple sites.

Core capabilities for success

  • Comfort with ambiguity and complexity, including situations where information is incomplete and the best path forward must be determined.
  • Strong decision-making skills, with the ability to navigate trade-offs and set direction when the issue is not fully defined.
  • Ability to influence others and build consensus across teams, sites, and leadership levels.
  • Deep understanding of Lean and operational-excellence methods, with the ability to model strong practices and raise standards across the team.
  • Strategic thinking and program-management skills that go beyond immediate tasks and connect operational work to wider business goals.

About the team

The EUCF PE team is responsible for improving process stability, standardization, and continuous improvement across the EU Customer Fulfillment network. The group sets high performance standards, introduces technology improvements, and strengthens the technical understanding of operational leaders. It supports operations teams with the expertise needed to deliver process and technology change while reducing variation between shifts, buildings, and regions. Working closely with Central Teams, the group prioritizes resources to improve process metrics across all paths.

What we are looking for

  • Background in operations management.
  • Strong English skills, including the ability to read, write, and speak fluently and to follow direction in English.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
  • Experience contributing to continuous-improvement work that delivered measurable controllership improvements, or experience delivering results on large cross-functional initiatives or projects.
  • Experience influencing internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in program or project management, including delivery of cross-functional work.
  • Lean Yellow Belt certification or above; if the certification is not already held, it must be obtained within 12 months of hire.
  • Experience acting as a subject-matter expert in a specific fulfillment process.
