This position sits within Armâs Central Technology organization, where teams develop foundational technologies that underpin future products. The successful candidate will join a multinational, collaborative, and highly driven Machine Learning Hardware Architecture group that helps shape the direction of machine learning within Arm IP designs.
The role focuses on building tools that help the team explore and validate machine learning accelerator capabilities. These tools are used across the architecture organization to show that proposed features are suitable for implementation and can be made available to software teams.
What you will do
- Create tools that make proposed hardware capabilities visible and testable, and use those tools to assess the performance impact of the resulting designs.
- Work closely with hardware architects to define the software interfaces needed for new accelerator features.
- Support the broader architecture group by helping demonstrate whether candidate features are feasible and can be enabled for downstream software use.
What Arm is looking for
- Strong practical programming experience in both C++ and Python.
- A good understanding of computer architecture.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience building software interfaces on large-scale or complex projects.
- The ability to understand accelerator designs and how they operate.
Helpful additional experience
- Exposure to machine learning frameworks.
- Experience collaborating with architects and modelling specialists to test and validate proposed features.
- Knowledge of memory systems and memory hierarchy.
