This position sits within Armâs firmware engineering work in Cambridge and focuses on building software for the next generation of Mali graphics products. What you would do
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve the existing firmware codebase and its design.
- Help steer the engineering approach used by the team and contribute to technical decisions.
- Work on new features for an evolving firmware component that underpins future Mali products.
- Take part in the full development cycle for firmware, including design, implementation, debugging, task estimation, task breakdown, testing, and documentation.
- Review designs and source code from other engineers and provide feedback to improve quality and consistency.
- Mentor and guide colleagues, helping them build stronger technical skills and better engineering judgement.
- Collaborate closely with hardware and software teams to connect, interface, and integrate related components.
- Assist with hardware validation by writing firmware tests and investigating whether hardware behaves as expected.
- Use your technical contribution and leadership to influence implementation choices that can affect billions of devices.
