This role sits within gTechâs Strategy and Operations organization, where the team acts as strategic partners and trusted advisors helping drive performance and meaningful change across gTech. The group combines strong business and functional expertise with analytical discipline to shape strategy and deliver it effectively. Its core strengths in strategy, analytics, and communications are used to help the organization perform well today while also preparing for future growth.
The position is part of the Go-to-Market Operations function, which supports Googleâs Ads business by keeping complex operations running smoothly and helping define and execute go-to-market strategy. The team works across major Ads business areas as well as globally across those areas, and its members are expected to be analytical, strategic, and practical in how they turn plans into results.
What you will do
- Serve as a strategic thought partner and dependable advisor to vice presidents and directors, helping the business deliver on current priorities while also shaping longer-term direction for Google technical services.
- Lead global analytical work and in-depth strategic projects, then collaborate with relevant teams to implement the resulting recommendations.
- Work with Google Technical Services Ads Strategy and Business Operations teams in other regions and business segments to support worldwide analysis and provide broader data perspectives and insights.
- Look for ways to redesign gSO workflows by developing and deploying applied AI solutions that reduce operational friction and remove bottlenecks.
- Plan and deliver initiatives focused on improving efficiency for several executive stakeholders.
- Partner with senior leaders to prepare operational business reviews and guide business planning efforts.
What you need
- A bachelorâs degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least six years of experience using SQL and building practical AI solutions.
- Preferred: an MBA or masterâs degree, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred: experience with Python scripting, large language model APIs, prompting frameworks, or the creation of customized AI agents or assistants.
- Strong ability to structure analysis and communicate clearly with executive audiences in both written and verbal formats, including the creation of compelling narratives and executive-level visual materials.
- Proven ability to work across functions to design processes and execute strategic initiatives that solve business problems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to carry out complex strategic and operational programs.
- Experience level aligned to a mid-level role, including the ability to make progress, resolve issues, and mentor less experienced team members while bringing deeper subject-matter knowledge.
