Technical Ecosystem Engineer Overview

Company Name ARM
Job Role Technical Ecosystem Engineer
Qualifications Not Specified
Category IT Jobs
Job Type Full Time
Location Cambridge

This role is a hands-on technical coordination position focused on helping Arm and its ecosystem partners make real progress on complex, multi-team initiatives. The work sits at the intersection of software platforms, system architecture, and AI systems, with a strong emphasis on practical execution rather than abstract strategy. It covers a broad range of areas including edge AI, physical AI, security, and system enablement across Arm-powered devices such as smartphones, large-screen compute platforms, wearables, and IoT products, as well as emerging systems like robotics and autonomous vehicles.

The successful candidate will work closely with Arm engineering teams and external partners to keep technical collaborations moving forward. The role is designed for someone who enjoys coordinating across disciplines, turning discussions into clear actions, and helping different teams stay aligned. It is an individual contributor role, so the emphasis is on direct contribution, structured follow-through, and steady progress across several active workstreams.

What you will do

  • Lead day-to-day technical engagement with ecosystem partners on active workstreams covering AI systems, platform software, security, and system architecture.
  • Act as the main operational contact for assigned collaborations, making sure meetings, follow-ups, and technical discussions stay focused and productive.
  • Represent Arm clearly and professionally in partner conversations, helping move issues forward when decisions or alignment are needed.
  • Support edge AI and system-level initiatives, including on-device AI execution, performance, security, and deployment across a wide range of device categories.
  • Work with Arm teams and external partners to align inputs, data, and next steps for ongoing technical engagements.
  • Track agreed actions and make progress visible so that both internal teams and external partners have a clear view of status.
  • Coordinate input from multiple Arm groups, including AI/ML, CPU, GPU, system software, and tools teams.
  • Translate partner needs into clear internal follow-up items so Arm can respond efficiently and consistently.
  • Monitor engagement status, dependencies, and risks across several parallel workstreams.
  • Support joint technical projects and task forces by contributing to planning, milestone tracking, and shared documentation.
  • Help drive execution by managing dependencies, following up on actions, and raising issues early when something may slow progress.
  • Use structured coordination practices to improve transparency, cadence, and teamwork effectiveness.
  • Contribute to initiatives that help drive adoption of Arm technologies across the wider ecosystem.
  • Assist with materials for partner reviews, internal updates, and executive briefings.
  • Contribute to technical workshops, industry events, or forums when needed, working with senior partners and internal stakeholders.

What Arm is looking for

  • Practical understanding of software platforms, system architecture, AI systems, or security, gained through direct technical work or closely related experience.
  • Experience coordinating technical work or shared objectives across multiple engineering teams.
  • Experience contributing to technical collaboration with partners or other companies.
  • Ability to manage everyday execution independently while knowing when to seek guidance.
  • Comfort working in partner-driven or multi-organization environments is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML systems, security, or heterogeneous computing platforms would be helpful.
  • Experience applying program or project coordination methods in technical settings would be beneficial.
  • Because this is a hands-on role, the ideal candidate should be comfortable working across fields and keeping several technical threads moving in a fast-paced environment.

What you can expect in return

Arm offers the chance to work on technology that influences how AI and systems software operate across a very wide range of devices. In this role, you will gain exposure to strategic ecosystem partnerships and industry collaboration, while building deeper experience in AI systems and cross-company technical coordination. You will also join a supportive, inclusive environment that values curiosity, collaboration, and continuous learning.

The salary range for this position is £77,500 to £99,500.
