Company Name Google
Job Role Workplace Services Manager, REWS
Qualifications Bachelor’s
Category General Jobs
Job Type Full Time
Location London

This role sits within Google’s Real Estate and Workplace Services organization and is based in London. The position is focused on creating and maintaining an excellent workplace experience for employees and visitors, with responsibility for leading operations across a large and complex campus environment. The successful candidate will help shape how workplace services are delivered, making sure the office environment is efficient, welcoming, and aligned with Google’s culture and brand.

In this position, you will oversee building operations at scale and coordinate a substantial vendor ecosystem covering both technical building services and hospitality-oriented services. You will be expected to keep facilities operating to a very high standard while also building a service culture that feels polished, consistent, and people-centered. The role requires someone who can balance operational discipline with creativity, translating broad workplace goals into practical service delivery and design decisions.

You will also work across a matrixed organization, partnering with internal stakeholders, executive leaders, and service teams to improve the employee experience. A major part of the job is turning strategy into action: identifying what needs to change, prioritizing infrastructure and service improvements, and helping implement global workplace standards in a way that works for the London campus.

What you will do

  • Represent workplace services to end users by working closely with Googlers to understand their needs and deliver appropriate solutions.
  • Influence customers, clients, and internal teams to build alignment, resolve differences, and reach workable agreements when priorities conflict.
  • Act as a trusted partner to stakeholders, helping improve the employee experience and communicating REWS direction and mission to senior leaders in a clear and tailored way.
  • Lead the rollout of the hospitality strategy across the London campus, moving toward a unified operating model with cross-trained teams and smooth handoffs between vendors.
  • Serve as the campus-wide owner of workplace consistency, ensuring that all London sites reflect the same narrative and service intent.
  • Translate high-level workplace concepts into concrete operational and design requirements.
  • Act as a connector between the business, REWS, and GDM, helping mediate creative and operational needs.
  • Manage large-scale workplace operations, including hard services, soft services, and vendor performance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and service quality across workplace operations.
  • Prioritize and drive critical infrastructure initiatives and support the implementation of global standards.
  • Lead workplace projects from planning through delivery, including budget management and end-to-end execution.
  • Continuously look for ways to improve the workplace so that employees remain healthy, productive, and inspired.

What the team does

The Real Estate and Workplace Services team is responsible for creating spaces and services that bring Google’s values to life. The team supports the operation of Google workspaces across multiple cities and regions, covering the systems and services that keep offices running smoothly. This includes workplace design and operations, as well as services that contribute to a strong employee experience such as healthy collaborative spaces, food experiences, transportation, and fitness-related offerings.

Google emphasizes that each office should still feel distinct and local while maintaining a consistently strong Google experience. This role contributes to that goal by helping build workplace services that scale effectively while still feeling tailored to London.

Experience and qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Relevant industry certifications such as BIFM or IFMA.
  • Approximately 15 years of combined experience in facilities management and service-related roles, especially in facilities, hospitality, corporate services, property management, or similar office operations.
  • Experience working in the built environment or property/hotel sectors.
  • Project management experience that includes managing budgets and delivering programs from start to finish.
  • Strong capability in owning outcomes, making decisions, handling ambiguity, and influencing stakeholders.
  • Deep expertise in the relevant field.
  • Preferred: an advanced degree such as an MBA or a real estate-related qualification.
  • Preferred: experience developing and activating high-profile public spaces or initiatives, together with knowledge of London’s cultural and community environment.
  • Preferred: additional experience in the built environment or property sector.
  • Preferred: change management experience and the ability to lead operational or organizational change.
  • Preferred: strong communication and storytelling ability, including the skill to present a compelling vision to different audiences.
  • English fluency is required for all roles unless the posting explicitly says otherwise.
