About the working environment
Operations is described as central to Amazonâs business because it ensures items are processed and sent to customers on time. In this role, you will gain practical experience with the tools and systems that make operations successful, while seeing how the different parts of the operation fit together. The work is based on site rather than remote, and the team operates in a shift-based environment.
The quick commerce team delivers ultra-fast convenience through a network of small warehouse locations in city centres, working with last-mile delivery providers to get products to customers in 30 minutes or less. The business combines creative thinking and technology to fulfil urgent shopping needs, offering a selected range of grocery products and Amazon essentials. The operation has two main sides: warehouse-based associates who pick and pack orders quickly to support the 30-minute promise, and a delivery network that mainly uses Amazon Flex partners on e-bikes designed for rapid urban delivery. The team works across morning and afternoon shifts, seven days a week, and places strong emphasis on sustainable delivery, food safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
What Amazon is looking for
- Professional experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills in the local language at C1 level under the CEFR scale.
- Experience using data analytics and performance measures to identify problems.
- Preferred experience in stakeholder management, including maintaining professional relationships.
- Preferred experience in an operational environment such as logistics, retail, hospitality, or customer service.
