This role sits at the intersection of technical implementation, regional sales strategy, and product adoption. The manager leads the Product Deployment Engineering function for gTech Ads and acts as the key link connecting gTech Ads, Google Customer Solutions regional leadership, and Product and Sales Activation. The purpose of the role is to help customers progress to more advanced use of Google products by combining technical expertise with regional business strategy.
The position is both operational and strategic. On the operational side, it involves leading a specialized technical team through complex implementation work and advanced customer deployments. On the strategic side, it requires ownership of the regional implementation approach, advising gTech Ads on how to scale and improve deployment outcomes across markets. The role also involves close collaboration with implementation program managers, PSA leaders, regional sales directors, global product leads, and the Ads Solutions Engineering Centre of Excellence.
gTech’s broader mission is to help Google products and services deliver value in the real world. The organization supports customers globally through technical skill, product knowledge, and a deep understanding of customer needs. In this role, that mission is applied to complex product deployment work for advertising customers, with an emphasis on scalable solutions, repeatable frameworks, and measurable business impact.
What you will do
- Bring gTech’s value proposition into regional GCS sales planning and adapt global and regional data activation approaches so they fit local market needs.
- Lead advanced customer implementations, including custom API-based workarounds when standard deployment paths are not enough.
- Look for patterns in bespoke solutions and turn successful fixes into scalable, repeatable implementation methods.
- Create playbooks and define tooling needs that support automation and broader deployment scale.
- Partner with product communities across clusters and with Ads Solutions Engineering to write business requirements documents for tools that improve and automate implementation delivery.
- Establish implementation best practices and help agents apply them consistently at scale.
- Direct scarce technical resources toward the highest-value opportunities and define the metrics and case studies needed to show the business value delivered.
- Manage, coach, and grow a strong Product Deployment Engineering team while building an entrepreneurial and high-impact team culture.
- Serve as the main technical and strategic advisor for complex product deployment work across the region.
- Work with PSA leaders and sales leadership to accelerate product adoption and improve customer outcomes.
