Arm is looking for an experienced PCB Team Lead to join its hardware engineering organization in Cambridge. This role is centered on leading a geographically distributed group of PCB layout engineers, building a strong and collaborative team environment, and making sure PCB layouts are delivered to a high standard. What you will do

  • Lead and develop a PCB layout team drawn from engineers working on different projects and in different locations.
  • Organize PCB layout activities, work out the effort required, and help keep delivery plans aligned with project schedules.
  • Strengthen the consistency and efficiency of layout planning and design review activities, including by making use of automation and EDA tools where appropriate.
  • Act as the central contact for PCB layout planning and for communicating delivery progress and status.
  • Help shape a team culture that supports close collaboration, dependable execution, and continuous improvement.

What Arm is looking for

  • Experience leading, supervising, or managing PCB layout engineers or another comparable technical team.
  • Practical ability to plan and manage PCB layout work while supporting broader project timelines.
  • Good knowledge of PCB build processes, layout review workflows, and the transfer of designs to manufacturing, including DFT and DFM considerations.
  • Experience working with hardware, silicon, signal integrity, power integrity, mechanical, and manufacturing teams.
  • Strong people-management capability, including mentoring team members and supporting their development.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities effectively.
  • Confidence in working with external vendors and suppliers to support team delivery.

Helpful additional experience

  • Experience with silicon development boards, validation platforms, or hardware intended for production.
  • Knowledge of high-speed digital PCB design, including technologies such as DDRx, LPDDRx, or PCIe.
  • Familiarity with signal integrity, power integrity, or other demanding board-design constraints.
  • Experience improving PCB build methods and introducing automation into the process.
