What you will do

  • Help define and evolve systems architecture for the latest technologies used across Arm’s product portfolio.
  • Carry out detailed performance modelling and analysis covering hardware capabilities, applications, benchmarks, and games.
  • Build and improve tools that support architectural exploration and performance assessment.
  • Evaluate system-level design trade-offs, including the interaction between hardware, memory subsystems, and system software.
  • Work closely with Arm’s engineering teams so that your ideas can be implemented in real products.
  • Collaborate with product groups and participate in engagements with partners and customers.
  • Contribute through a mix of architecture work, technology research, hands-on prototyping, and experimental investigation.

What Arm is looking for

  • A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or computer science is required.
  • A master’s degree or PhD in electrical engineering or computer science is preferred.
  • Strong and deep experience in computer science and systems architecture.
  • Extensive background in SoC development, including the challenges of integrating IP and understanding system-level performance and behavior.
  • The ability to evaluate and balance power, performance, and area in a way that matches product requirements.
  • Knowledge of interconnect technologies and network-on-chip principles.
  • Strong programming capability in C, C++, and scripting.
  • A track record of creative thinking and effective communication in a distributed team environment.
  • A practical, organized, and analytical working style.
  • Excellent collaboration skills, with a self-motivated and results-driven approach.
