Location Cambridge

Arm is seeking a senior delivery leader to guide project management across its AI and Developer Platforms organization. This group is focused on building the software foundations that support intelligence from cloud to edge, and the role sits at the center of turning strategy into execution across a broad portfolio of complex work. The position calls for someone who can shape how a global software organization plans, prioritizes, governs, and delivers strategic initiatives, while helping the business move with clarity, speed, and accountability.

In this role, you will define and continuously improve the operating model for project and portfolio delivery across AI and Developer Platforms. That includes creating the planning structures, execution practices, risk management methods, and leadership visibility needed to keep major programs on track. You will work across engineering, product management, UX, business operations, ecosystem teams, and senior leadership to align priorities, manage trade-offs, and ensure the organization delivers outcomes that matter to customers, developers, and the business.

What you will do

  • Set the direction for the project management function within AI & Developer Platforms, including the standards used for planning, governance, implementation, risk management, and delivery excellence.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a distributed team of project managers, creating consistency in how the team works and supporting long-term career growth across the function.
  • Own the delivery cadence for the organization, covering quarterly planning, portfolio reviews, execution reviews, blocker escalation, and leadership reporting.
  • Work in close partnership with engineering, product, UX, ecosystem, and business leaders to align priorities, resolve conflicts, and move central initiatives to successful completion.
  • Turn strategic priorities into concrete delivery plans with clear ownership, milestones, decision points, and measurable outcomes.
  • Identify recurring delivery issues and introduce improvements that raise efficiency, predictability, and execution speed across the organization.
  • Bring data, automation, and portfolio-level insight into delivery decisions so leaders can better understand progress, dependencies, risks, and investment trade-offs.

What Arm is looking for

  • Substantial experience leading complex cross-functional programs, portfolios, or delivery organizations in software, platform, AI, developer tooling, or similar technology environments.
  • A strong record of building, leading, and developing project, program, or delivery management teams.
  • Experience designing operating models, delivery frameworks, governance practices, and execution standards that can scale across teams.
  • The ability to influence senior stakeholders, drive decisions, and build alignment in settings with ambiguity and competing priorities.
  • Strong systems thinking, with the ability to connect strategy, planning, dependencies, risks, resources, and outcomes across a complex organization.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, including the ability to present progress, trade-offs, and risks clearly to senior leadership.
  • Experience using metrics, delivery data, and operational insight to improve execution quality and support better decision-making.
  • Experience leading delivery across globally distributed teams and organizations.
  • Familiarity with portfolio planning, resource management, investment prioritization, and organizational operating models.
  • Experience improving delivery efficiency through automation, tooling, dashboards, or workflow redesign.
  • Practical experience using AI to improve the speed, quality, or scale of project management work, such as planning, risk tracking, dependency management, status reporting, decision support, workflow automation, or portfolio insight.

What you can expect in return

Arm says this is an opportunity to join a world-class team that is pushing the boundaries of technology. As a senior leader, you will have the chance to shape delivery practices and help drive meaningful outcomes across the organization. Your work will have a direct effect on Arm’s success and its ability to compete globally, and the company describes the opportunity as part of an ambitious journey with significant impact.

The salary range for this position is £144,600 to £195,600 per year.
