This role is for an experienced Oracle EBS HCM Payroll Functional Consultant who will support payroll and absence work for UK public sector clients. The position sits within Infosys’ delivery organization and focuses on implementing and supporting Oracle EBS HCM modules, especially UK Payroll and Absence, while also contributing to client discussions, solution delivery, and ongoing operational support.

What you will do

  • Lead the implementation and delivery of Oracle EBS HCM solutions, with particular emphasis on UK Payroll and Absence for UK-based clients.
  • Provide functional support for payroll and absence processes, including post-implementation support and issue resolution.
  • Use detailed knowledge of UK payroll, pension, and absence rules and processes to shape solutions and support clients effectively.
  • Take responsibility for support activities, investigate functional issues, and work through them to closure.
  • Handle tickets and ensure they are resolved within service-level expectations.
  • Manage transition activities from the incumbent vendor.
  • Work with HCM technical and reporting tools such as HCM Data Loader, HCM Extract, BI reporting, Fast Formulae, and Payroll Batch Loader.
  • Lead discussions with customers on integrations, data migration, reporting, and other module-related topics.
  • Present complex technology and functional solutions in a way that is understandable to technical teams, business users, and senior management.
  • Review and discuss business process specification documents, configuration workbooks, testing materials, and change requests with stakeholders.
  • Apply full SDLC knowledge across conference room pilots, playback sessions, training content preparation, and training delivery.
  • Prepare regular status updates using RAG indicators, identify risks and mitigations, and maintain RAID logs.
  • Support release planning and broader delivery planning activities.
  • Coach and mentor team members and, where required, manage a team of more than five people.
  • Work in a Lean or Agile environment where applicable.

What the role requires

  • At least 12 years of experience implementing Oracle EBS HCM solutions for UK Payroll and Absence.
  • Strong practical knowledge of UK payroll, pension, and absence processes.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle Global Payroll and Absence in EBS, specifically for UK public sector clients.
  • Working knowledge of HCM Data Loader, HCM Extract, BI reporting, Fast Formulae, and Payroll Batch Loader.
  • Ability to explain complex technical solutions to technical, business, and management audiences.
  • Experience leading customer conversations about integrations, tickets, reports, and related payroll and absence matters.
  • Understanding of the full SDLC lifecycle.
  • Experience producing status reports with RAG indicators, tracking risks and mitigations, and maintaining RAID logs.
  • Strong planning skills for release and delivery planning.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Experience coaching and mentoring others, including prior management of a team of at least five people.
  • Exposure to Lean and/or Agile development methods.
  • High analytical ability.
  • Strong customer orientation.
  • High standards of quality and attention to detail.
