What the role involves

• Leading SAP S/4HANA transformation initiatives for major clients and helping define future operating models, business processes, and solution direction.
• Working with customers from early opportunity development through delivery, including identifying consulting-led opportunities within existing accounts.
• Designing end-to-end enterprise and supply chain solutions across planning, sales, procurement, manufacturing, warehousing, transportation, plant maintenance, and customer service.
• Building transformation roadmaps that use SAP best practices and a mix of SAP S/4HANA, SaaS line-of-business products, and related platforms such as Salesforce and Microsoft technologies.
• Identifying where automation and digitization can be improved through AI, blockchain, IoT, RPA, and similar technologies.
• Taking part in assessments, due diligence, and transformation workshops, and helping clients develop the business case for change.
• Engaging directly with business stakeholders, speaking in business terms, and translating their needs into practical solution direction.
• Producing business blueprints, proof of concepts, transformation plans, change impact assessments, and learning materials.
• Facilitating large workshops across functions such as procurement, manufacturing, and finance to define the solution vision, uncover requirements, and resolve gaps or obstacles.
• Delivering S/4HANA minimum viable products, templates, full solutions, and pilots, then securing business agreement and acceptance for the outcomes.
• Contributing to roadmap discussions with partners such as SAP and Microsoft to create combined value for customers.
• Offering an independent expert perspective based on experience and awareness of SAP and other vendors’ product directions.
• Mentoring team members, overseeing their outputs, and taking responsibility for results as a senior leader within the team.
• Being a hands-on and approachable leader who helps the team with constraints, estimates, delivery planning, solution reviews, and feedback for improvement.
• Representing Infosys to stakeholders by bringing process best practices, using data and metrics to support recommendations, and presenting several solution options with a clear explanation of the value of each.
• Driving the delivery of harmonized and optimized solutions that balance business needs, process capability, and transformation objectives.

Experience and qualifications needed

• Extensive experience across the SAP product portfolio, together with strong SAP consulting knowledge.
• Deep functional expertise in one or two SAP ERP areas such as finance, manufacturing, logistics, or sales, or deep technical expertise in areas such as ABAP, UI5, integration, security, or basis.
• Solid understanding of IT architecture, including SAP architecture.
• Strong business understanding, including industry differences, value chains, financial health, and future trends.
• Experience working with senior executives, middle management, and both business and IT stakeholders, including managing expectations effectively.
• At least 14 years of hands-on SAP consulting experience, with a focus on either a specific industry segment or a particular skill set.
• At least five end-to-end project deliveries in the relevant SAP offering, ideally in an architect or lead role.
• Experience with at least two transformation project types, such as greenfield, brownfield, or hybrid implementations.
• Experience in transformation preparation or phase 0 work.
• Practical experience using or administering SAP toolchains.
• A valid SAP certification in the relevant area of expertise.
• Strong client presence and the ability to present credibly to audiences ranging from C-level executives to SAP super users.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, along with the ability to build solution proposals and estimate effort.
• Flexibility, multitasking ability, team spirit, and a strong, positive attitude.
• Preferred exposure to multiple SAP modules or skill areas.
• Preferred experience combining SAP sales work with hands-on service delivery.
• Preferred prior business-domain experience before moving into IT.
• Preferred external publications in the public domain related to the relevant industry or skill area.
• Preferred additional exposure to technology beyond SAP, such as Salesforce or Microsoft.
• Strong analytical thinking, the ability to connect ideas and think laterally, proactive leadership, customer focus, long-term relationship building, and a strong commitment to quality and excellence.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
