This is BlackRock’s two-year full-time analyst programme for the EMEA region, designed for early-career candidates who are finishing university and want to begin their careers in a global financial services environment. The programme is built to help analysts connect their individual interests and strengths with BlackRock’s mission, principles, and purpose, while giving them practical exposure to the firm’s work and the chance to contribute to its wider goal of improving financial well-being for more people.

Programme overview

The programme begins with an orientation that introduces participants to BlackRock’s purpose, the way the business operates, and the company’s strategic priorities. It also provides insight into what an analyst’s day-to-day experience looks like. After this initial period, analysts move into their teams and continue developing through ongoing learning, training, and professional development opportunities. The programme is intended to create a meaningful, long-term impact both for the participant and for the firm.

BlackRock states that the analyst programme is open to candidates from any degree background, as long as they are graduating within the specified window. The intake is for the 2027 recruitment year, and the start date is planned for August, although earlier starts may be considered.

What you will do

  • Take part in a structured orientation that explains BlackRock’s mission, business model, and strategic priorities.
  • Learn what the analyst role involves on a day-to-day basis before joining a team.
  • Move into a team after orientation and begin contributing to live work.
  • Stay engaged with colleagues across different regions through continued training and development.
  • Build your skills over the course of the two-year programme while supporting BlackRock’s broader purpose.
  • Contribute to the firm’s mission of helping more and more people experience financial well-being.

Who can apply

  • Applicants must be due to graduate with a bachelor’s or master’s degree between June 2026 and July 2027.
  • Candidates from any subject area are welcome; the programme is not limited to a particular discipline.
  • For roles based in Continental Europe, fluency in the local language is required.
  • For Budapest, only English is required.
  • For positions in Private Markets Investing in Zurich, only English is required.
  • Applicants should be ready to complete a pre-interview assessment after submitting their application.
  • The assessment must be completed within five days of the email invitation, otherwise the application will be automatically withdrawn.

Application process and deadlines

After submitting an application, candidates receive an email asking them to complete a pre-interview assessment. The assessment window is five days, and missing that deadline leads to automatic withdrawal from the process. BlackRock says applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, so candidates are encouraged to apply as early as possible.

Application deadlines vary by location. London, Edinburgh, Paris, and Zurich close on 30 September 2026. Milan and Amsterdam close on 30 October 2026. Frankfurt, Munich, and Copenhagen close on 13 November 2026. Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Kuwait, and Riyadh close on 31 January 2027.
