Operations – Technology Operations – 2027 Summer Internship Program Overview

Company Name Blackrock
Job Role Operations – Technology Operations – 2027 Summer Internship Program
Qualifications Bachelor’s
Category IT Jobs
Job Type Internship
Location Edinburgh

This summer internship is an eight-week programme running from June through August and is intended to give students a challenging, meaningful, and well-supported experience that closely reflects what it is like to work as a full-time BlackRock analyst. The internship begins with an orientation that provides a detailed introduction to the firm and includes the chance to hear from several senior leaders. After that, interns receive practical training on the job and are expected to take on everyday responsibilities that help their teams throughout the summer.

The programme also includes a wider set of development and networking opportunities. Interns can expect a speaker series, mentoring support, and chances to build connections through activities with employee networks. For students who enjoy the experience and want to continue with the firm, the internship can be a stepping stone toward the Full-Time Analyst Programme, which may be considered after the summer placement.

What you will do

  • Join an eight-week summer internship from June to August and experience a programme designed to resemble the work of a full-time analyst as closely as possible.
  • Start with an orientation that explains the firm in depth and gives access to insights from senior leaders.
  • Learn through hands-on training and contribute to your team’s work through regular day-to-day tasks.
  • Take part in speaker sessions, mentoring, and networking activities, including events connected to employee networks.
  • Explore the possibility of applying for the Full-Time Analyst Programme after completing the internship, if the experience is a good fit.
