This role sits within Amazonâs global Human Resources organization, known as People eXperience and Technology, which is focused on helping the company become the best employer in the world. The role carries responsibility for the full site-level employee experience, including feedback channels, recognition activity, and the standards that shape trust, engagement, and performance. This is an onsite position based at an Amazon facility, with support provided across multiple sites in the region and regular movement between locations.
What you will do
- Serve as the PXT business partner for assigned sites, working directly with field leaders and site leadership teams to improve organizational health and operational effectiveness.
- Convert organizational priorities into clear action plans and help deliver business goals through data-informed decision-making.
- Own the site-level employee experience, including feedback systems, recognition programs, and workplace standards.
- Build and maintain two-way communication between employees and leaders using tools and forums such as Voice of the Associate, roundtables, and GEMBA walks.
- Plan, execute, and monitor engagement and recognition initiatives, including budget planning and employee appreciation activities.
- Help create a workplace where employees feel safe and included by supporting employee resource groups and fair talent practices.
- Keep a strong presence on the floor and across the site to understand day-to-day issues, gather insight, and identify early signs of disengagement.
- Carry out regular site walks to review working conditions and ensure the facility is aligned with Amazon standards.
- Work with site leaders and safety teams to support consistent delivery of safety programs.
- Lead local community initiatives and coordinate with partners across the wider network, including Public Policy and Public Relations teams where needed.
- Identify patterns in site performance or employee issues, work to the root cause, and help ensure policies are applied consistently and fairly.
- Use analytics to spot emerging trends, anticipate challenges, and implement proactive solutions.
- Encourage adoption of HR technology, AI tools, and self-service systems while still providing high-touch support in important moments.
- Partner with site leadership to balance operational requirements with Amazonâs values and people priorities.
- Coach business leaders on people management topics such as performance feedback, team development, and employee relations.
- Support change initiatives by helping leaders communicate effectively, address resistance, and embed new approaches into local routines.
- Deliver core PXT processes while building trust and influence through strong business understanding and sound judgment.
- Work with operational leaders on workforce management, HR process excellence, and team effectiveness.
What the day-to-day work looks like
The role combines strategic thinking with practical, data-led problem solving. You will use analytics and AI-enabled tools to identify trends, anticipate business needs, and shape solutions that improve the workplace. A typical day may include coaching leadership teams on workforce management, improving HR processes, and working with field leaders on operational objectives and team performance.
You will also spend time on the floor, building relationships at different levels of the organization, conducting site walks, holding employee feedback conversations, and supporting initiatives that improve the working environment. Success in the role depends on your ability to handle ambiguity, navigate organizational dynamics, lead change, and make strong decisions in complex situations. By combining business insight, data, and partnership, you will help create a workplace where employees feel valued and empowered.
What you need
- A bachelorâs degree or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of local labor law in the UK.
- Understanding of HR theory, HR functions and practice, performance appraisal systems, and staff development.
- Experience working with business leaders in complex and fast-moving environments.
- Experience supporting or leading employee-related processes such as onboarding, benefits, investigations, training, or talent management.
- Ability to work onsite at Amazon facilities and support several sites in the region, with regular travel or movement between locations.
- Preferred: a masterâs degree or MBA.
- Preferred: experience in operational environments such as manufacturing, distribution, or similar settings.
- Preferred: ability to train and support others in using HR technologies and digital platforms, with a focus on adoption and user experience.
- Preferred: experience using AI-powered tools, HR analytics platforms, and emerging technologies to generate insight and improve processes.
- Preferred: experience handling employee relations issues and conducting workplace investigations.
- Preferred: strong coaching and influencing skills for guiding leaders through complex situations.
