Bloomberg is looking for a benefits professional to join its EMEA Benefits team in London. This role sits within Human Resources and focuses on helping shape and deliver employee benefits across a large and diverse regional population. The position is centered on supporting programs that help employees and their families, while also ensuring the company’s benefits offering remains competitive, compliant, and well managed.

The environment is described as fast-paced, collaborative, and highly dynamic, with a strong emphasis on accuracy, quality, and teamwork. The role also connects into Bloomberg’s wider Global Benefits function, creating opportunities to work with colleagues in the Americas and APAC on initiatives that can affect a very large global workforce.

What you will do

  • Support the EMEA benefits agenda from London, with responsibility for retirement, health and welfare, and wellness-related programs and projects.
  • Manage relationships with external benefits vendors and advisors, making sure providers meet expected service levels and performance standards.
  • Act as an escalation point for difficult employee benefits cases and queries, using good judgement to resolve sensitive issues and reduce risk.
  • Partner with Procurement on contract reviews, renewals, and invoice reconciliation work.
  • Carry out analysis to support benefit plan design reviews and broader program decisions.
  • Work closely with internal HR partners, Benefits Operations, and Payroll on policy questions and related issues.
  • Look for opportunities to improve benefits programs through financial analysis, market benchmarking, and review of claims, utilization, employee feedback, and employee experience data.
  • Make sure all benefits programs comply with relevant local legislation and statutory obligations.
  • Lead process improvement work across benefits programs and align stakeholders around changes that improve how things operate.
  • Own the full implementation process for new plans, programs, policies, and plan designs from start to finish.
  • Coordinate communications for both existing and new benefits offerings with the Internal Communications team to help drive employee understanding and engagement.
  • Keep benefits content accurate and current across internal HR systems and supporting documentation.
  • Build and maintain a strong understanding of benefits law, industry standards, and related methodologies, and apply that knowledge in day-to-day processes and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the wider Global Benefits team on cross-regional projects and initiatives that may have impact across multiple countries and employee groups.

What Bloomberg is looking for

  • Extensive experience in benefits management and advisory work, including corporate benefits experience and ideally at least two years in that type of environment.
  • Working knowledge of benefits programs and local rules in the UK and other EMEA markets, including France, South Africa, Israel, the Netherlands, and the UAE.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing benefits programs, backed by strong project management skills and the ability to create practical solutions that fit existing policies and processes.
  • Ability to respond effectively to changing statutory requirements and adjust plans or approaches as needed.
  • Experience producing data-driven recommendations that support informed decisions and balanced risk assessment.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical ability, with careful attention to detail and the ability to identify and correct data errors.
  • Strong ownership of data quality and a disciplined approach to reviewing information.
  • Good judgement, including knowing when to escalate an issue, along with flexibility in how work is approached.
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Clear and effective communication skills, including the ability to handle difficult decisions and follow through on commitments.
  • The ability to work independently, manage priorities, handle several tasks at once, and stay focused under pressure with minimal supervision.
  • A customer-service mindset and a responsive, open, and practical attitude.
  • Bloomberg notes that the years of experience listed are only a guide and that candidates who can demonstrate the necessary skills are encouraged to apply.
