Product Manager- Company Screening Overview
| Company Name | Bloomberg |
| Job Role | Product Manager- Company Screening |
| Qualifications | Not Specified |
| Category | Finance Jobs |
| Job Type | Full Time |
| Location | London |
This role focuses on shaping the future of Company Screening within the Bloomberg Terminal and related AI-powered experiences. The product area is being rethought around faster discovery, more adaptable screening criteria, explainable outcomes, and clearer paths from screening into deeper analysis. The position sits at the center of that effort and will help define the next generation of screening workflows.
You will work across the full screening journey. That includes helping clients understand which datasets are available for screening, designing more flexible ways to create and refine criteria, improving how results are reviewed and tracked over time, and making it easier for users to move from screening into further analysis. The role also involves thinking about how the experience should evolve as AI becomes more central to Bloombergâs products.
Some parts of the job are highly technical. You will partner closely with Engineering and Data teams to decide how screening data should be modeled, cached, queried, and delivered so that large-scale workflows remain fast and reliable. You will also help guide the transition from older screening applications to newer AI-enabled experiences, with a strong focus on preserving trust, transparency, and continuity for clients.
In addition to Company Screening itself, the role asks you to look for opportunities to build reusable components that could support related workflows such as Fund Screening and Index Screening. This means the position is not only about one product area, but also about identifying common patterns that can be standardized across adjacent use cases.
What you will do
- Set the product strategy for Company Screening across the Bloomberg Terminal, including how it integrates with AI tools such as ASKB.
- Own the roadmap and make balanced decisions across client demand, commercial value, technical feasibility, and migration needs.
- Examine adjacent areas such as Funds and Indices to find opportunities to standardize screening workflows through shared components.
- Convert client and business needs into clear product direction, requirements, and prioritization.
- Work closely with Engineering, Data, and Product partners to deliver scalable screening capabilities that align with infrastructure and migration programs.
- Make sure screening criteria, results, analytics, and workflows behave consistently across user interfaces, APIs, data products, and AI-enabled experiences.
- Set success measures and track impact through adoption, client engagement, data usage, workflow completion, and commercial performance.
- Partner with Sales, Support, and other client-facing teams to understand user frustrations, validate product choices, and help drive migration and adoption.
What the role calls for
- Seven or more years of product management experience, or equivalent experience in company analysis, either through using company screening in your own work or by leading the build of company screening tools.
- Strong knowledge of company data, including financial, firmographic, and related datasets.
- Understanding of private company data and the challenges involved in coverage, comparability, quality, and discoverability.
- Familiarity with Funds, Indices, or other adjacent financial datasets.
- Experience with data systems, APIs, data modeling, analytics platforms, or large-scale query workflows.
- Comfort operating across both technical and business domains while working effectively with Engineering, Data, Sales, and Product stakeholders.
- Proven ability to define strategy, make prioritization decisions, and execute in ambiguous, cross-functional environments.
- Technical fluency, sound judgement, and a practical problem-solving approach.
Nice-to-have experience
- Experience with Bloomberg Terminal workflows, especially Company Screening, Fund Screening, Index Screening, or similar platforms.
- Experience with AI-enabled workflows, natural-language interfaces, data discovery tools, or decision-support products.
- A CFA or similar designation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex ideas in a simple way.
The posting also notes that the stated years of experience should be treated as a guide only, and that applicants who can demonstrate the right skills will still be considered.
