What you will do
- Support the Compliance Officer in overseeing the UK insurance distribution business so that it operates in line with all relevant legal and regulatory obligations.
- Review and approve financial promotions to confirm they meet the required regulatory standards.
- Advise teams on insurance regulatory requirements, including when new business ideas or propositions are being developed.
- Help train the wider business on the insurance rules and obligations that apply to its activities.
- Keep your knowledge of insurance regulation current and ensure the team benefits from up-to-date regulatory insight.
- Monitor regulatory updates and emerging risks from official sources, then circulate important developments to the right internal stakeholders.
- Provide regulatory oversight and approval support for new programs.
- Contribute regulatory thinking to strategy and solution design so that new initiatives are both workable and compliant.
- Work in partnership with colleagues, peers, and leadership, offering clear and practical challenge where appropriate.
- Bring a hands-on approach to problem solving, especially when the business is dealing with uncertainty or ambiguity.
- Help the team maintain high standards while supporting Amazonâs broader growth objectives.

What you need
- A bachelorâs degree.
- Experience in compliance program management, legal work, governance, audit, risk, loss prevention, or a similar discipline.
- Experience handling sensitive or confidential information.
- Experience preparing or working with regulatory filings and reports, or similar responsibilities.
- Experience forming effective partnerships with both internal and external teams to deliver practical initiatives.
- Strong working knowledge of UK insurance regulation.
- Comfort operating in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with changing demands.
- Ability to manage several projects and priorities across different teams at the same time.
- A history of taking ownership and delivering outcomes.
- A compliance qualification or equivalent professional certification is desirable.
- Experience with SQL and Excel is desirable.
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to improve performance is desirable.
