What you will do
- Take ownership of the technical relationship with major advertising clients and/or product partners, acting as a trusted technical consultant.
- Work closely with engineering, sales, and product management teams to develop and deliver solutions that use emerging technologies for external partners.
- Lead efforts from initial idea through design, testing, analysis, support, and technical execution of advertising solutions and partnerships.
- Manage the technical and operational aspects of Googleâs online advertising platforms and partner programs.
- Translate business and partner needs into workable technical approaches while accounting for engineering limitations and scale requirements.
- Create tools and automation that improve products, workflows, and operational efficiency.
- Help shape product strategy, determine priorities, and guide how projects and resources are allocated.
- Develop repeatable solution patterns and best practices that can be used by agencies and partners around the world.
- Design and scale customized, cross-product solutions that can be rolled out globally.
- Gather requirements from partners, provide guidance on best practices, and recommend creative uses of ad products and technologies to support agency, partner, and gTech goals.
What you need
- A bachelorâs degree in engineering, computer science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least six years of experience working with client-side web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or HTTP.
- At least six years of coding experience in one or more programming languages, including options such as Java, C/C++, or Python.
- Experience troubleshooting technical issues for internal or external partners or customers.
- Preferred: an MBA or a masterâs degree in a related technical discipline.
- Preferred: experience with ad tech products, ad servers, DSPs, DMPs, and web analytics, along with knowledge of how to build engineering solutions that can operate at scale.
- Preferred: experience in the advertising industry, including first-party data onboarding and activation, measurement, data modeling, video advertising, and search advertising.
- Preferred: strong project management, leadership, and people management skills.
- Preferred: strong analytical ability and experience creating data-backed recommendations or proposals.
- Preferred: excellent written and verbal communication skills in a business environment.
