Company Name IC Resources Recruitment
Job Role Partnership Development Manager UK Semiconductor Industry
Qualifications Not Specified
Category Engineering Jobs
Job Type Full Time
Location Rest of UK

This is a remote, UK-based opportunity for a partnership-focused commercial professional to help drive the growth of the UK Semiconductor Centre. The role sits at the intersection of business development, ecosystem building and strategic relationship management, with a clear mission to support commercialisation, strengthen the UK semiconductor landscape and create long-term value through meaningful collaborations.

The organisation is looking for someone who can build high-value partnerships from the ground up. You will be expected to bring energy, commercial judgement and a proactive approach to opening doors across the semiconductor ecosystem. The work involves connecting startups, scale-ups, government bodies, industry organisations, investors and academic stakeholders, then turning those connections into practical partnerships that support growth, capability and market access.

What you will be doing

  • Creating and managing a portfolio of strategic partnerships that directly contribute to commercialisation and scaling activity.
  • Developing trusted relationships with stakeholders across government, emerging companies, established businesses and academia.
  • Identifying partnership opportunities that can unlock access to customers, manufacturing capacity, supply chains, investment and international expansion.
  • Leading the preparation and negotiation of NDAs, MoUs and collaboration agreements with a strong commercial mindset.
  • Representing the UK Semiconductor Centre in senior-level discussions, industry events, ecosystem gatherings and trade missions.
  • Building opportunities from an initial starting point rather than inheriting a ready-made pipeline.
  • Helping to connect the wider semiconductor community in ways that support UK capability and deliver lasting economic benefit.

What the organisation is looking for

  • Practical experience within the semiconductor ecosystem and a clear understanding of the sector’s players, pressures and opportunities.
  • A proven ability to hunt for opportunities, create momentum and convert prospects into partnerships that work for both sides.
  • The presence and credibility needed to influence senior decision-makers without relying on formal authority.
  • Experience handling partnership negotiations and shaping agreements that support commercial objectives.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, plus the ability to build relationships and stay organised.
  • Confidence working in a dynamic, evolving environment that resembles a startup in pace and style.
  • A collaborative, connector-style approach, with the ability to bring people together around shared goals.
  • Commercial judgement, resilience and comfort operating amid ambiguity and change.
  • A genuine interest in helping build something new rather than simply maintaining existing structures.

Package and working arrangement

  • Base salary in the range of £65,000 to £85,000.
  • Bonus potential.
  • Benefits included as part of the package.
  • Remote working from within the UK.
