Capgemini Invent is looking for an experienced senior transformation consultant to help lead supply chain and global business services change programmes. The role sits within the Intelligent Industry practice and is aimed at someone who can combine structured problem-solving with practical delivery, helping clients redesign supply chain services so they are more cost-effective, better controlled, higher quality and easier to scale. The work spans strategy and transformation across a range of sectors, including consumer products, life sciences, automotive and others.

The position is suited to a consultant who can take ownership of delivery, work confidently with senior stakeholders and contribute to the growth of the practice through propositions, proposals, thought leadership and team development. The successful candidate will help shape and deliver consulting engagements from early diagnosis through to implementation support, while also contributing to internal capability building and business development.

What you will do

  • Lead consulting workstreams and manage delivery teams on supply chain GBS transformation programmes, ensuring the work is delivered to a high standard and produces strong outcomes for clients.
  • Deliver end-to-end consulting support across diagnostics, process assessment, future operating model design, service management, transition planning, performance improvement and digitally enabled transformation.
  • Review current-state processes, identify opportunities to standardise and simplify work, and help design future operating models for supply chain services within a GBS environment.
  • Support implementation planning across service transitions, governance structures, KPI and SLA design, stabilisation and continuous improvement.
  • Translate detailed analysis into clear, practical recommendations and executive-ready materials that support decision-making and change execution.
  • Build trusted relationships with stakeholders across supply chain, operations and GBS functions.
  • Support market development by contributing to proposition evolution, client campaigns and other activities aligned to changing supply chain GBS priorities.
  • Contribute to bids, proposals and RFP/RFI responses, and help drive account growth through strong content, insight and delivery credibility.
  • Create reusable methods, tools, viewpoints and delivery assets that strengthen the consulting offer.
  • Play an active role in the Intelligent Industry practice and help maintain a collaborative, delivery-focused team culture.
  • Work with account and programme leadership to manage risks, resolve issues and keep delivery aligned with client expectations.
  • Support the development of junior colleagues and help build capability across client and consulting teams.
  • Contribute to internal practice development through campaign work, think-tanks, whitepapers, recruitment, team events and broader offer development.
  • Take part in learning and development activity, including training and capability-building initiatives that support career growth and in-demand skills.

What the role is looking for

  • Substantial consulting and/or transformation delivery experience in supply chain, GBS, shared services or operating model redesign.
  • Evidence of working effectively in a matrixed organisation and collaborating across disciplines to deliver strong results.
  • Experience supporting proposition development, account growth and sales activity in a consulting or transformation setting.
  • Ability to generate around £1 million in consulting revenue by using existing relationships, wider company relationships and your own network.
  • A proven record of leading supply chain GBS workstreams or programmes with a focus on business-led transformation and operational improvement.
  • Practical supply chain knowledge across areas such as planning support, order management, logistics support, inventory, master data or performance reporting.
  • Strong understanding of service governance, process standardisation, KPI and SLA design, transition delivery and continuous improvement.
  • Experience coaching junior colleagues and helping develop capability in client and consulting teams.
  • Confidence working in a collaborative, fast-moving environment and engaging effectively with senior client stakeholders.
  • The role is for an experienced professional rather than an entry-level candidate.
  • Flexibility to work away from home at short notice when assignments require it.
  • Willingness to work from or be based out of London, Manchester, Newcastle or Glasgow, depending on assignment needs.
