This role is for an experienced supply chain planning consultant who can help clients transform their planning processes using the RELEX platform. The work sits within Capgemini Invent’s Intelligent Industry practice and focuses on end-to-end transformation programmes that combine business understanding, hands-on solution design, and practical delivery. The position offers exposure to a range of sectors, including consumer products, retail, life sciences, and automotive, and is suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast-moving consulting environment where both client impact and internal capability building matter.

What you will do

  • Lead and contribute to supply chain transformation engagements that use RELEX to improve planning performance from end to end.
  • Help clients design, implement, and optimise planning solutions across demand planning, supply planning, replenishment, and inventory optimisation.
  • Develop solution approaches that align RELEX functionality with client needs and business priorities.
  • Take part in proposal work, including RFP and RFI responses, product demonstrations, and commercial discussions.
  • Build strong working relationships with stakeholders across supply chain and IT, ensuring the solution is understood and supported by the right people.
  • Own delivery workstreams on implementation and optimisation programmes, keeping progress on track and ensuring quality outcomes.
  • Translate business requirements into functional and technical designs that can be configured and deployed effectively.
  • Configure RELEX capabilities and support the rollout of modules such as forecasting, replenishment, and inventory optimisation.
  • Support integration with surrounding enterprise systems, including ERP and data platforms.
  • Contribute to testing, cutover, go-live support, stabilisation, and continuous improvement after deployment.
  • Monitor delivery risks, issues, and timelines, and help resolve problems before they affect outcomes.
  • Work with senior client stakeholders, providing clear recommendations, status updates, and executive-ready analysis.
  • Partner with programme leadership so that the solution being delivered stays aligned with the wider business objective.
  • Collaborate across consulting, data, and engineering teams to deliver a joined-up solution.
  • Coach junior team members and help strengthen the wider RELEX capability within the practice.
  • Contribute to reusable assets, methods, best practices, and thought leadership that support future client work.
  • Take part in business development and internal practice activities such as proposals, pitches, campaigns, whitepapers, recruitment, training, and team events.
  • Support your own development through learning activities, including training and certifications.

What the role is looking for

  • Hands-on experience delivering RELEX implementation projects, whether from a consulting, client, or vendor background.
  • Strong knowledge of RELEX modules such as forecasting and replenishment, promotion planning, and space and assortment, gained through implementation, configuration, or advisory work.
  • Ability to translate business needs into system configuration and practical solution design.
  • Experience working in complex organisations where multiple teams and functions need to be aligned.
  • Good understanding of at least one supply chain discipline, such as demand planning, supply and inventory planning, replenishment, or promotions and forecasting.
  • Strong communication skills, with the confidence to work effectively with both technical specialists and business stakeholders.
  • A background in a major consulting firm, or industry experience supported by consulting experience.
  • Comfort working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment where priorities can shift and stakeholder management is important.
  • Willingness to be fully flexible about assignment location and to spend time away from home at short notice when required.
  • This is an experienced professional role at Consultant or Senior Consultant level.
  • The contract is permanent.
