This is an opportunity for a graduate-level process engineer to join a well-established semiconductor manufacturer in Oldham, Greater Manchester. The position is permanent, full-time and based on site. It is aimed at someone who wants to help improve yield, quality, efficiency and reliability across wafer fabrication and assembly operations in a precision-focused manufacturing environment.
What you will do
- Investigate semiconductor lots that have been placed on hold due to quality or electrical issues, and ensure the outcome of those reviews is communicated back to the relevant process teams.
- Take ownership of root cause analysis work and implement corrective actions that support better yield across the site.
- Help maintain automotive process control systems, including DPAT, SYL and SBL.
- Develop, maintain and update PROMIS routes, yield and quality reporting, and supporting data scripts using tools such as Python, R and SPC packages.
- Support the introduction of new products into manufacturing and contribute to Six Sigma-led improvement activity.
- Work with colleagues across different functions to improve processes and optimise manufacturing performance.
- Contribute to a cleanroom and production setting where accuracy, reliability and process discipline are essential.
