This is an opportunity for a graduate process engineer to join a leading semiconductor manufacturer in Oldham, Greater Manchester. The position sits within a manufacturing environment where the focus is on improving yield, strengthening quality, and making wafer fabrication and assembly processes more efficient and reliable. It is a permanent, full-time, on-site role offering a competitive salary and benefits.
What you will do
- Review lots that have been placed on hold due to quality or electrical issues, then ensure the relevant process teams receive clear and useful feedback.
- Drive investigations into the underlying causes of process problems and help implement corrective actions that improve site yield.
- Support the operation and upkeep of automotive process control systems, including DPAT, SYL, and SBL.
- Create and maintain PROMIS routes, along with yield and quality reports and supporting data scripts using tools such as Python, R, and SPC packages.
- Contribute to new product introduction work and participate in Six Sigma-led improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with colleagues across different functions to optimise processes and improve manufacturing performance.
- Play a hands-on role in a cleanroom and production setting where precision, reliability, and continuous improvement are central to the work.
