This summer internship programme is an eight-week experience running from June to August and is intended to give students a demanding, meaningful, and well-supported introduction to life at BlackRock. The structure is designed to reflect, as closely as possible, what it is like to work as a full-time analyst at the firm. Interns begin with an orientation that provides a broad introduction to the organisation and includes the chance to hear from senior leaders. After that, they receive practical training on the job and are expected to contribute to their teams through real day-to-day responsibilities across the summer.
In addition to the core work experience, the programme includes a speaker series, mentoring, and a range of networking opportunities. These networking activities also include events with employee networks, giving interns additional ways to learn about the firm, build relationships, and connect with colleagues. Students who enjoy the experience are encouraged to consider BlackRockâs Full-Time Analyst Programme as a possible next step after the internship.
