This summer internship is an eight-week programme running from June through August across the EMEA region. It is built to give students a demanding, meaningful, and well-supported experience that is intended to closely reflect what it is like to work as a full-time BlackRock analyst. The internship begins with an orientation that introduces the firm in depth and includes the chance to hear from senior leaders. After that, interns receive practical training on the job and are expected to contribute to their teams through real day-to-day responsibilities for the duration of the summer.
What you will do
- Join an eight-week summer internship and take part in work that is structured to resemble the role of a full-time analyst as closely as possible.
- Start with an orientation session that provides a detailed introduction to BlackRock and includes presentations from senior leaders.
- Learn through hands-on training and contribute to the teamâs everyday work throughout the internship.
- Take part in programme activities such as speaker events, mentoring, and networking opportunities.
- Engage with employee networks and other community-building activities during the summer.
- Use the internship as a potential stepping stone toward BlackRockâs Full-Time Analyst Programme after completion.
Who can apply
- Applicants should be in the penultimate year of their studies and due to graduate in 2028 from an undergraduate or masterâs degree programme.
- Candidates from any degree discipline are welcome to apply.
- For roles in Continental Europe, local language fluency is required.
- For Budapest, English is the only language requirement.
- For positions in Private Markets Investing in Zurich, English is the only language requirement.
Application rules and process
- Each candidate may apply to only one programme in a given year, such as the Summer Internship Programme or the Quantitative Masterâs Internship Programme.
- Within that single programme application, candidates may select up to two functions.
- Both function choices must be submitted through the same programme application.
- If an application is withdrawn, the candidate cannot submit another application to this programme later in the same year.
- After applying, candidates receive an email inviting them to complete a pre-interview assessment.
- The pre-interview assessment must be completed within five days of receiving the email, otherwise the application will be automatically withdrawn.
- Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, so early submission is recommended.
- Location-specific deadlines are: London, Edinburgh, Paris, and Zurich by 30 September 2026; Milan and Amsterdam by 30 October 2026; Frankfurt, Munich, and Copenhagen by 13 November 2026; Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Kuwait, and Riyadh by 31 January 2027.
